We have been fairly regular customers over the past 13 years, and tonight I was so excited to order and pick up chicken teriyaki bowls for dinner. When I got home and opened the boxes we ordered, I was appalled at the tiny portions included afternoon $12.95 for the chicken teriyaki, two small scoops of rice and less than a chicken breast worth of chicken. No extra sauce whatsoever, the chicken was didn’t even have extra sauce on it so that you could
mix the rice with the meat. Absolutely disappointing. I know that inflation has made things difficult but this was ridiculous. Will not be going back, I would rather have paid a couple dollars more for a reasonable amount of food to feed my family.

Despite how it may look on the outside, the food is fantastic and the inside is nice, clean, and quiet. The chicken teriyaki floored me with how good it is and I wasn’t expecting that. There was about 3 layers of flavor just to the meat itself and I melted.
The sushi was very good, presentation presentation was also, and I found a new favorite beer. Asahi apparently has layers of flavor too and it pairs well with the food.

Honestly the take out portion is not what it use to and the lost of quality of taste. I would come here a lot some time ago and just decided to try it here. I don’t know what’s going on, heard there was a new cook. But it seems just to be declining with the taste and portion. I usually go on 72nd. They have more bang for your buck. It’s just sad that this use to be my to go place growing up. I spent 70$ for a meal of family 5. I understand now how things are with pricing of eating out but I don’t know about here.

Their Jasmine Green Milk tea with boba is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Sweet, and has a matcha taste to it, but in a lovely way, I’m not usually one for matcha but this Jasmine green tea milk tea is life-changing. Chicken katsu and California roll where amazing as well, fresh, and the katsu was cooked to perfection. Amazing atmosphere and pleasant service.

Usually get the short ribs combo but this is the most disappointing from this restaurant. It seems that this place continues to decline and I would rather eat at the other New York Teriyaki places in town. Short beef ribs served, they had basically fatty pieces that were hidden on the bottom. In the past I’ve never had it served to me. Three pieces were mostly fat! The dressing on the salad was more watery than usual that it didn’t even really stick on the salad. After a long 12hr day at work, for how much I paid, I was hoping for a decent meal. I hope the next time I order it will be better. Otherwise I might have to resist from ordering here in the future.

Chill teriyaki/sushi place with a few other offerings. Great service, fresh food, and clean. Sushi roll I had was so good and my mom’s yakisoba was amazing. Highly recommend!

Great little spot to eat at, I was craving Yakisoba, and this is the only place that serves rice and a salad with Yakisoba. That I’m aware of. It was quiet and comfortable I really dislike going into a restraunt to eat and freeze.

At first I balked at the concept of a •”Teriyaki, sushi, and burger joint.” Then I balked at the pricing on the menu — $18 for a tempura spicy tuna roll? In inland Washington? No way.

Imagine my surprise at the sheer size of the rolls, the freshness of the fish, and the expert composition. New York Teriyaki blew all my preconceptions out of the water of what’s possible on this side of the Cascades, with quality rivaling or even surpassing similarly-priced locations in the Seattle and Portland areas.

I highly recommend anyone looking for a quality Japanese food experience in Yakima try this place — you won’t regret it.

Make sure to check your itemized receipt because they will definitely rip you off… they had no excuse for charging more than what they listed on their menu.
