What I really liked about this spot is that it’s open until midnight, which makes it clutch for late-night food cravings. I ordered the garlic chicken slice with some extra toppings. The pizza was freshly made in about 10 minutes, came out crispy, and the flavor was solid. The meat tasted good, but I wish they had been a bit more generous with the chicken. The staff was very friendly, which added to the experience.

I had never been to San Mateo, as I was walking down town I saw this spot & had to try it. It’s a no frills kinda place. New York decor covers the wall & they have a TV going. It was super hot in there bc of the ovens, but there is some outside seating as some seating inside.
My mom and I split a slice of cheese pizza. The slice took about 5 min to warm up. I’m so happy we got one slice to split bc it was huge!!! And so so delish. The crust was crisp and perfect and the cheese was a perfect amount. I will definitely be back and order a slice to myself since I can’t stop thinking about it!!!
Service was fast, he brought the pizza out to us while we were sitting. Wishing I had it now as I write this!

I’ve had pizza in multiple different city states and countries. When I walked into New York Pizza today before a big meeting I had, I had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a pizza place in my life. If you live in the San Mateo peninsula area, you would be doing yourself a disservice not to stop in and get a slice if you’re a true pizza. Connoisseur this is the spot to be. The service is incredible and nice. The seating and the artwork on the walls is immaculate. And above all else, the pizza is beyond delicious. I couldn’t give it more than five stars on this, but it deserves 10. Highly recommended

This pizza place has always been so delicious and reasonable. Me and my family LOVE this place. I’ve worked in downtown for 8 years lived here for 1 year. But it hands down feels like a piece of pie from New York and it’s my go to! You can’t go wrong with a huge slice and soda for under $8!! It’s a steal. If your in San Mateo this is the pizza play to order from!

The pizza doesn’t have the texture or structural integrity of a New York City style (too floppy and airy like most Bay Area pizza places) but the flavor and toppings are good. Maybe their thin crust option is better but “regular” was too bready.

Showed up about thirty minutes before closing and they were really great about providing slices last minute. Huge slices we ordered two each and they were massive, the sauce and crunch of pie were delicious! Some of the best pizza I’ve had will definitely be returning 🙂

I had been given over inflated reviews of this place. I ordered a calzone with a side of the garlic sauce, what I got was an extremely wet sloppy mess with a side of ranch which I hate. I do have to say if you want a bacon salad then get the spinach salad because all you get is bacon. The chocolate mousse cake is good but isn’t the same as the picture!
They get a 4 for service because the drive was super nice!
I asked for peppers and cheese and plates because I’m moving and only got plates.
Not with the hype unless you want to cook your takeout one it is delivered. $50 wasted!

The Marriott gave me their menu. I ordered a delivery pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a Greek salad with Italian dressing. Y’all- this was delicious pizza. The dough is super good. I’m visiting from the the southeast and this pizza is great. The Greek salad was fresh and big. The cucumbers, tomatoes etc were fantastic. It should be given that salads are fresh, but in my experience it’s not!
