“Where would you eat breakfast, if you didn’t work here?” That is the question I ask every hotel clerk when they offer a free breakfast. Thank God for local referrals! The NY Deli offers a wide variety of tasty breakfast options at a fair price. Many local patrons means the food is consistently yummy. But, the happy vibe is provided by the amazing Shannon. Hustling, professional, and with a sweet soul. Seeing Shannon interact with her regulars is love in action.

Not a bad restaurant but did not meet this New Yorker’s expectations. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs that came with a (onion) bagel. The hash was dry and overdone, and mixed with hash browns (?), not the corned beef hash I am used to. The bagel was ok, but a little plain and flavorless. The coffee was good, and service was fast. I sat inside, which was cozy, with Mexican folk music playing from the kitchen. Prices are reasonable. I may come back and try a deli sandwich, though with lower expectations.

Great meal, good service. The only problem was an angry little liberal man screaming and cursing at an older customer. I told them to leave them alone, the staff is different, and he stormed off like the man-child he is.

After a brief trip, I drove into Santa Fe and decided to have lunch at the New York Deli on Cerrillos Road. Initially, the waitress offered me a seat inside, but as it was quite warm, I chose to eat in their outdoor area.
My lunch arrived promptly. The coleslaw was excellent – not too watery, with a pleasant tang that paired well with my sandwich. The Reuben on rye was outstanding, featuring perfectly prepared corned beef and fresh, crisp condiments, including the pickle. Overall, it was a great dining experience offered at a reasonable price.

Great breakfast spot! I stopped in before a hike and got the southwest benedict. The green chile hollandaise is really good and I absolutely devoured that plate. I also picked up a bagel for my hike and nibbled on it on my way back down the mountain.

TLDR: poor service, poor communication. Will not be back.
Attempted to schedule a pick up order for later in the day. Woman helping on the phone was rude and did not communicate well. After stating the order and pick up time I was told “Oh, well call back later” then hung up on.
Unexpectedly, I got a call well after the order pickup time was arranged asking me to come pick up the food. I picked up and paid for the food despite making other arrangements. Since I assumed that “call back later” to mean no order had been placed.
Now I have wasted money on a meal no one can eat due to a miscommunication.
Food is okay, not worth dealing with the service.

A forever gem and a staple in Santa Fe! This restaurant is quirky, warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and wonderful at what they do, they will make you feel at home the moment you walk in. I love the NYC fused with Southwestern vibes, great for all ages and group sizes. Now onto what you are here for; the delectable food with the best prices in town! I am a vegetarian and have tried everything veggie on the menu. The chef is very accommodating to your dietary needs, whether vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. The servers and counter staff will gladly recommend dishes to suit your tastes. The challah bread French toast, Santa Fe hash browns, Tofu Scrambler and classic Huevos Rancheros are some of my favorites to name a few. Great portions and thoughtfully cooked and flavored! My most recent order was a veggie burger, but I wanted to make it a little different and decided to order it on a bagel with loaded veggies like sautéed mushrooms, peppers, and sauerkraut. I added cheese but can be easily made to be vegan, or you can add meat if you fancy that, or substitute the regular bagel for a gluten free one. My bagel veggie burger was huge ! I love NY Deli, great for all diets, and it’s not the typical boring food most delis and restaurants serve to vegetarians and vegans.
