I went online to check out New York city pizza prices on their official website and a large pizza was priced at 22$ plus 1.75$ per topping. When I arrived to pick up my pizza it was 34$ before tip. And I always tip, so I did. 1 large, 2 topping pizza cost me 39$ with my tip. The pie was good but not 40$ good. No pizza should ever cost that. And mabye go easier on the toppings and a bit more cheese Instead. The slices of my pizza were flopping over.

Let me first start by saying I don’t live here and only came here in hopes of grabbing a few slices of pizza after a long shopping trip at Home Depot. Walked inside and was greeted by a lady who said 2, I said no we’re not eating there but I wanted to know if you sell pizza by the slice. She said yes, handed me a menu and said all of the pizzas with red sauce are by the slice. I ordered 6 slices of pizza and she told me the total, I handed her my card without even thinking and paid. She said it would be about 10 min and she walked away. My daughter was with me and said mom, how did you just pay $49 for 6 slices of pizza. It then hit me. I said wait, slices of pizza are 3.50 per slice. When the lady came back over to where I was I said excuse me, I think the register charged me twice for everything. She quickly and rudly said no, there are extra charges for every topping you added to the pizza. I was instantly irritated and disappointed! Why in the world would any person, better yet employee allow someone to pay 49.00 for 6 slices of pizza when an entire 16″ pizza costs $32.00. Just reliving this infuriates me. How incredibly ignorant! And mind you, when she said pizza is available by the slice only for red sauce pizzas she NEVER said, but all toppings are extra money.
When we got into the car less than 2 min after receiving the pizza and started eating it, the pizza was cold, the topping were cold and the veggies were raw. I lifted the pizza and it appeared to have no crust under the pizza from the middle to the end. All in all very disappointing and guarantee I’ll never be back. I requested through the website for someone to contact me which has yet to happen.

Just picked up three slices of pizza. We were very disappointed. No cheese on top of colded meat. The first time we were there it was excellent, the second time not as good but ok. Today was the worst. I think the cook forgot to finish the order. Just moved here will have to try their competition.

Thrilled with excitement to Finally get a taste of New York City Pizza! Of course, we know it’s different wherever you BUT the difference here is that New York City Pizza did not cook the pie completely through! Around the center party of the pizza was delicious, It’s just the center again. Was not cooked and Extra greasy! In the Big Apple, it’s Cooked all the way with grease (like my ToGo sliced)! We understand ‘closing’ business hours, as well as, service, maybe next time we will come during the afternoon or early evening with the possibility of better slices! Drink orders were taken After placing food orders Till then, thanks! #’ Reunion’

Just moved from NY and didn’t expect any legit New York pizza. Skeptically heard good things about NYC Pizza. Tried some different slices and a caprese salad. Very pleasantly surprised. Pizza was great and salad was delicious. Mozzarella tasted homemade. Full bar and nice, friendly service I’ll definitely be back.

The food and service is really good. Pizza tastes like what I use to eat in Long Island. Plus the young blond waitress makes the best Long Island Tea I have ever had! Sorry that I don’t remember her name, but she has been working at the Buckwalter location since they opened. She took a picture of me and my friend last week when we had lunch there. I recommend New York Pizza. Miriam T.

was better than good on a hectic holiday weekend (Independence Day). Service was polite and professional, and the pie toppings were high quality and flavorful.

Being a Brooklyn girl living in the heart of Dixie, it’s been a real challenge to find decent pizza (among other comfort foods!)
NYCP is, by FAR, the best pizza and Italian food in the low country. They definitely know how to prepare and cook New York Italian food! The sauce is not too tangy, not too sweet (as most southern pizza is -gross!-) and it’s obvious they take great pride in their New York heritage
The regular round pie is as close as you will get to Brooklyn pizza down here. Trust me, I’ve tried MANY! We drive 45 minutes there and back just for pizza!

Also of note: their arancini (rice balls) are ON POINT, as are the zucchini sticks, veal parm, and eggplant rollatini. The salad with house dressing is also DELISH!

I highly recommend NYCP! We go to the Bluffton location, but I’ve heard they are all equally wonderful.

Awesome Pizza! I didn’t get a picture because we ate it so fast! Wings were fresh and crispy, salad and ranch were delicious.
