Great Asian cuisine with a solid menu selection. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the portion sizes were just right. The décor really adds to the experience, with beautiful Thai artwork throughout the venue and an incredible elephant feature wall that really stands out.

However, the night I visited felt quite chaotic. The restaurant seemed short-staffed, and the waitress was clearly under the pump doing her best. Unfortunately, this meant long waits for meals, and even food delivery drivers were visibly frustrated by delays.

Overall, tasty food and a lovely setting, but the service experience would definitely improve with a few extra staff on shift.

The food is average. Red curry is too sweet. The roast pork was above average and the pork with basil was the best amongst the dishes ordered. Their take away portions were of decent size and hence pretty fair pricing for local standards. Restaurant size is big but service a little slow in terms of food prep. Staff were friendly and helpful.

If multiple customers complain—two times, three times, or even more—that the food is way too sweet, a normal and professional response from a restaurant should be very simple:

You acknowledge the feedback.
You talk to the chef.
You offer to adjust the dish, remake it, or at least provide an alternative or a refund.

That is basic hospitality. That is how restaurants improve and survive long-term.

Unfortunately, that was not what happened here.

The manager was extremely rigid and dismissive. His only response was that their ingredients are “standard” and therefore cannot be changed. But let me be very clear: who decides what “standard” means—the chef, or the customers who are paying?

Customers are the ones paying the bill. Not the chef. Not the manager.

When multiple customers are saying the same thing—that the food is overly sweet—the correct reaction is to listen and adapt, not to argue and shut people down. Refusing to adjust or even acknowledge repeated feedback shows a complete lack of customer-oriented thinking.

If this restaurant wants to build a loyal customer base and last long-term, this kind of attitude is unacceptable. Frankly, the owner should seriously reconsider this management choice. One bad manager can ruin an otherwise decent restaurant—he becomes the “rotten element” that drives customers away.

As long as this manager is still here, I will not be coming back. And I hope the owner sees this review and understands that the issue is not the food alone—it’s the attitude.

5 star experience. We ordered red curry, mango shrimp salad, eggplant basil chicken sautee and all were flavorful and delicious. Piping hot entrees perfect for a cold day.

We arrived around 2:45 PM and managed to place our order just before the kitchen closed for lunch. We started with several appetizers: Roti, Papaya Salad, Curry Puff, Fresh Rolls, and Chicken Satay. The Curry Puff was the standout, while the Papaya Salad – served with cabbage instead of the more typical lettuce – was let down. The rest of the starters were okay.

For entrees, we had Pad Rad Na, Red Curry, and Basil Fried Rice – all of which were quite good. The highlight, however, was the Pad Kee Mao. We chose mild spice levels, which turned out to be too tame; a higher spice level would’ve been better.

Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat dampened when we were rushed to leave around 3:30 PM. If the kitchen closes early, it would be better not to accept orders past 2:30 PM. Rushing diners out feels inconsiderate and takes away from the experience. A clearer policy or better communication would go a long way.

That aside, we still enjoyed a good lunch overall.

This has so many Reviews and such a good Rating …. Thats why I Decided to eat here. But Obviously all Those people habe Never been to Thailand and they give five Stars for all food which tastes Not Like Burger or Pizza. I ordered Green Curry chicken, which is a Basic Thai dish. One of the Most Popular Thai dishes. When they Served it, I was impressed. It looked good. But then I started eating …. The Sauce was too liquid, not creamy at all. A good Green Curry comes with a creamy Sauce. A Bad Green Curry comes with liquid Sauce. Because water is Cheaper than coconut milk. And in Addition to that, the Rice was way too soft, really mushy. Well, food here is cheaper than other Thai Restaurants in town, but at the Same time they offer lower Quality. Disappointing. I will Not go again,

Great Thai spot close to Fisherman’s Wharf! Dishes are really good and at great prices. Got the Panang curry and it was delicious and perfectly seasoned! Relatively short wait and the environment is lively for meeting with friends. Free ice cream for reviews as well!

We recently dined at New Thai Elephant, and our experience was excellent. Our group of three ordered the Egg Rolls, Veggie Fresh Rolls, Thai Iced Tea, Yellow Curry, and Pineapple Fried Rice.

The food was fantastic overall! The Egg Rolls and Veggie Fresh Rolls were fresh and satisfying, and the Thai Iced Tea was perfectly sweetened. The Yellow Curry was a standout—rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. While we enjoyed the Pineapple Fried Rice, we found it a bit on the bland and dry side compared to the other dishes.

The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal.

We’ll definitely be back to try more of their offerings! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality Thai dining experience.

Excellent Thai food in an unassuming restaurant. They have elephant icons such as Dumbo and African elephants. The Thai iced teas was the best with a teddy bear ice mold making it very cute. Satay was good as was the Papaya salad (warning it is not very spicy on medium). Spring rolls had tofu inside and had a minty taste. The Red curry with chicken was nicely spiced and was very good with the rice. Pad See Eu noodle also was well liked with plenty of chicken. The BBQ pork fried rice was good but did not have much pork in it. Nothing was left after we finished. Service was fast. Bathrooms were clean
