Now, let’s talk about the ice cream, WOW. Creamy, rich, perfectly balanced flavors that clearly use high quality ingredients. I tried the [strawberry cheesecake and the biscoff cookie butter, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. You can tell everything is made with care and creativity. They also have a wide variety of unique and classic flavors, and even some fun seasonal specials.
Presentation was top-notch. Details matter! And he did not fail to deliver. He added pink sprinkles and an EDIBLE butterfly onto my ice cream . was so dreamy. The portions are generous without being overwhelming. Its clear they love what they do here!
This place is a must for any dessert lover.
Highlyyyy recommend!
New Territories is mainly known for its unique flavors of ice cream served atop Hong Kong style “bubble waffles”. I’m very glad that some Asian-inspired flavors have become more accessible. Check these out: Thai Tea, matcha, ube crunch (a Filipino purple yam), “Like Tokyo Banana” (based on the Japanese banana cake), Vietnamese coffee, and “First Love” (with strawberry yakult). There’s also more conventional flavors: vanilla and chocolate, as well as blueberry cheesecake and birthday cake. Since we went during the Fall, pumpkin was also on the roster. As a baseline, one scoop of ice cream is $4.95.
Of course, my kids like the more elaborate sundae-like options (as seen in the pics):
– Build-your-own: waffle/croffle + choice of ice cream + 3 toppings ($8.95)
– Prince Edward: waffle + vanilla ice cream + nutella + peanuts + gold sprinkles ($8.95)
– Unicorn parade: milkshake with vanilla ice cream + fruity pebbles + marshmallow + pocky + caramel + glazed animal crackers ($11.95)
As for me, I found most of their ice creams overly sweet for my taste. I did not expect such sweetness from Thai tea or pumpkin, although ube seems more balanced. As mentioned, they do have other options which might suit the adult palate better. There are several coffee drinks – someday I’d like to try a latte made with hojicha (roasted green tea) or black sesame (has a peanutty flavor). Perhaps I’ll try one of their various acai bowls. A “refresher” during the summer would be great: iced drinks made with lemonade, lychee, green tea or matcha.
Chips, water, soda and, thankfully, Lactaid pills are also available.
This little shop has a couple of tables towards the back. The service is always kind and prompt with orders.
New Territories is definitely worth a visit. Whether you drop by with the kids or on your own, you’ll have a great time exploring these flavors and experiences.
When I walked in, I was greeted by nuz one of the workers there. Warm welcome & big smile. She was super informative about the menu and so much fun to talk to. Then I met the owner , Pete. Explained to me to story of the store pretty amazing. They are famous for their bubble waffles. Was hot and fresh with along with vanilla ice cream & sprinkles. I had the double lemon float with lemonade and lemon sherbet as well. Store was very clean. There was about 15 flavors of ice cream to choose from. Definitely will be going back. Was able to snap a photo with Pete as well… “”OFF THE RECORD… he made another waffle no charge. for me before I left… let’s say didn’t make it home. 🙂 oh almost forgot they have amazing fresh cut fruit açaí bowls… sorry pete… the waffles got to me….
I came in excited to try what looked like a fun and delicious treat. The photos promised a beautiful bubble waffle cone loaded with toppings, sprinkles, and pistachio cream.
What I expected:
A well-made, colorful dessert that was worth the price.
What I got (pic 2):
A broken waffle thrown into a paper tray with a half-melted scoop of ice cream. No whipped cream, no sprinkles, and definitely no pistachio cream—because after waiting almost 10 minutes, they told me the machine wasn’t working. No heads-up, no refund, just “it’s not working.”
On top of that, the service was chaotic. Other customers walked in, looked around confused, waited with no one acknowledging them, and ended up walking out. It just felt disorganized and unprofessional.
Honestly, the whole experience was a letdown. I won’t be back.
Staff was super kind and patient. Love seeing the Asian flavors represented here and everything we had was super delicious. I did a mix of Earl Grey and Ube Crunch with a croffle on the side. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you to the staff for being so nice
The service was really fast and the owner explained everything so well. I went there on a Friday afternoon and there wasn’t a lot of people there so I got my order right away. The place itself was clean and nicely decorated. The parking is a little tricky because it’s just street parking on a busy street. I imagine it gets pretty hard at times.
