What happened to pan fried dumplings. AKA potstickers! They used to be filled with pork scallion ginger garlic they were flavorful now they’re filled with chicken and no seasoning and mine came out deep fried not pan fried like classical potstickers! Potstickers are fried in a pan with oil then finish with water to steam. Worst I’ve ever had in my career. Sweet and sour sauce nothing but ketchup little bit of vinegar and water and cornstarch. Horrible

Today was my first time trying this restaurant and they did not disappoint. This was the BEST chinese food I’ve had in a while and certainly the best across deland/deltona. I had the lunch special sweet amd sour chicken and upgraded to a shrimp roll which was PACKED with shrimp, and the BEST shrimp lo mein. I also got oramge sauce on the side. The young man up front was beyond professional and accomodating. I recently ordered from a different restaurant in deland in the plaza with ross/aldi and felt so cheated. The portion there was small and the food came up to $20. Their Orange chicken looked so pale, just a waste. New Peking, omg the food is soo good. I ate the roll so no picture. But look at this lunch special!!!!!

Tried this local place for the first time after living in the area for just over 5 years. Ordered the General Tso Chicken which came with Pork Fried Rice and an egg roll, as well as the Singapore Mei Fun and the Crab Rangoons.
Personally, the sauce was too thick in the General Tso and the rice was almost completely flavorless. It was nice and fluffy, but despite having pork and veggies it somehow didn’t have any flavor. The chicken was cooked well in this dish but I just couldn’t stomach the sauce.
On the other hand… The Singapore Mei Fun was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked and spiced perfectly. It had a great amount of meat and veggies. Truly delicious. A favorite for sure.
The crab Rangoon were hit or miss. Honestly, it felt like there were 2 different types of wrappers and filling used, and they had very different flavors and consistency especially. One was delicious, the other not so much.

I found a large industrial sized staple in one of my shrimp egg rolls from a takeout order we placed on Monday, October 14th. What if I bit it harder, or if I swallowed it? What if a kid swallowed it? I called back after this discovery and the guy on the phone eventually offered me a $10 credit towards a future purchase, which obviously now I will be willingly forfeiting. To top it off, our order of sweet and sour chicken did not even come with any pineapple, carrot, pepper, and the included sauce was far from enough. This place sucks! And what does “New York” Chinese food mean anyways? Does it mean that you’re supposed to find razor blades in your food?

Horrible. First time customer. I ordered a few things, including bourbon chicken. It was not chicken. It was either pork or something worse. I called and the guy on the phone argued that it is chicken. I don’t think so. Look at the photos and judge for yourself. It was nasty and I will never go back.

Tried New Peking for the fist time and the family was impressed! All of the food was delicious, great flavor no issues at all! So happy to have finally given them a try and there so close to our house! If you haven’t tried New Peking it is a must try, delicious good food!
