We are visiting from Colorado and I’m glad we tried this place. The ambiance is super intimate and dimly lit in the best way. Service was incredible, our server was so sweet and attentive. We had dinner, drinks and dessert. The food was super tasty!!! I also ordered a virgin bloody Mary that was absolutely delicious! Their espresso crème brûlée was incredible, such a great place to have a nice evening out!

Vampire Café delivered one of the most distinctive brunch experiences I’ve had in New Orleans. The ambiance immediately sets the tone—dark, moody, and immersive without feeling gimmicky. It creates a fun, slightly dramatic backdrop that makes brunch feel like an event rather than just a meal.

The service matched the atmosphere perfectly. The staff took time to walk through the weekend brunch menu in detail, offering thoughtful descriptions that genuinely helped me decide. Their guidance made the experience feel curated rather than transactional.

I ordered the “Stake” and Eggs with ribeye, and it was executed flawlessly. The steak was flavorful and cooked properly, the over-easy eggs were perfectly runny, and the potatoes were crisp and well-seasoned. Each component complemented the others, creating a balanced, satisfying plate that felt indulgent but not heavy.

To drink, I had the Bloodiest Mary, and it was fantastic. Bold, savory, and expertly garnished with pickled green beans, a pickle slice, and an olive—it was as visually impressive as it was delicious.

Between the atmosphere, attentive service, and well-prepared food, Vampire Café made brunch feel theatrical in the best way. I’ll absolutely be back.

The hostess was very accommodating when I told him we drove over two hours to go for my birthday trip. He sat us outside and we loved it. The weather was beautiful and so was the location. Our server was also great and our food came quickly. We shared the steak, eggs, and potatoes. He checked on us frequently and was very pleasant. When we left he have us a cute brochure of all their establishments and we will definitely be back soon. Such and cute and unique place. You can also get alcohol and non alcoholic drinks in these cute blood bags.

We came in with a party of 4 and was told the larger table had to have 6 or more so we asked two ladies to join us and they did. The food was okay. The fried deviled eggs was the best thing I ate from there. The vampire burger was spicy. The service was decent but the lady behind the bar was Amazing. Everyone else seemed like they were ready to go but she had good energy. She even showered us with bubbles and we gave her beads. I would come back to visit her again.

The restaurant/bar is beautiful. The hostess and our waiter were both very friendly. This was the best meal I have eaten in a long time. We started with cocktails l. I had a black berry mojito and it was delicious with fresh blackberries. We had the fried deviled eggs for an appetizer because I have never heard of that before. They were omg good! I had the mussels. They were cooked perfectly and delicious as well. My hubby had the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes and Brussels were so yummy. Prices are very reasonable. We cant wait to come back and try the pork chop on our next trip.

Staff here are so kind and efficient it was refreshing. My first place to try a sazerac and I was hooked. The salmon meal is divine I want to go back to New Orleans just to have that again. They add more seasoning and butter to the mashed potatoes than if you got them on your own, which I did, because I wanted more mashed potatoes lol. The blood bag drinks are what attract the masses and there are only 3 drinks you can get in the blood bags if I’m not mistaken and one of them is non alcoholic. They also aren’t as strong as just drinking in the restaurant, very much tasted like juice. Overall I’d love to go back. We were seated quickly, food came out quick, drinks were fantastic and everyone and everything there was giving well oiled machine.

Fun food experience! The blood bag pomegranate lemonade is delicious and my new favorite way to drink. Food was very good – the crab claws were excellent and the fried deviled eggs were quite tasty.

A small space but perfect. I was craving Shrimp and Grits and I hit the jackpot at this restaurant. The theme was great. Our server was great although I do not presently remember her name. She was very attentive and accommodating. She gave us great info on the restaurant and even gave us free passes to a Vampire themed speak easy theatre of some kind. I wish I wasnt headed out of town or else I would have loved to check out the event. The food I ate was so delicious I am looking forward to trying other menu option on my next trip. I saved this place as a favorite on my map.

My wife and I have been visiting New Orleans since the 90s and were heavily involved in the Anne Rice scene for many years. We met our longtime friend here for dinner and drinks and the restaurant did not disappoint.

The atmosphere was exactly what you would hope for in an establishment inspired by vampires. The chandeliers slightly flickered with a warm light. The decor requires a few moments of your time prior to turning your attention to the fun drink menu. The restroom is worth a trip just to see the wall paper.

I highly recommend the AB+ if you are a bourbon lover. It was very similar to an Old Fashioned minus the cube of ice. (Sazerac with a drop of V)

To satisfy my hunger, I ordered the alligator poboy. It came with in house fried chips. The poboy was quite simply amazing. I was born and raised on the Mississippi gulf coast and have eaten poboys from countless restaurants and I have to say this was hands down one of the best I’ve eaten. The alligator was cut into small tender chunks and seasoned to perfection. My first bite shocked my senses and I said to myself, “This is New Orleans!”

We will be back.
