New main Moon and Sharon Pennsylvania did not disappoint. It’s been a while since I’ve tried this Chinese spot, but I can say I was satisfied with my last visit. The lo mein noodles were very flavorful, and the General Tso hit the spot.

-Only customer in restaurant…cashier not overly friendly; I had to ask if buffet open, she took my money and then just let me stand there-eventually I asked if I just seat myself…it was in another room
-foods picked over from lunchtime ( I was there about 3p) nothing hot (no steam coming from steam table noted), walnut chicken and some others dried out and hard, no real flavor in anything
– staff brought out dirty diaper to drink area from changing baby in back of restaurant– did not see/ hear hand washing after
– delay in drink coming, only one staff came to table during meal (I picked at my food for about 15 minutes as on phone texting) and asked if it was good- my mouth full, so I nodded yes and she stood there and asked again… uncomfortable…I didn’t want to tell her nothing was good
– boxes and supplies with personal staff items (baby bottles, toys, open snack and beverages) throughout place
-2 large TV’s with volume overpowering a relaxing mealtime
– typical Chinese decor, place overall in need of good scrub

It really pains me to write this review because Main Moon in Sharon is a restaurant I grew up going to on Saturday afternoons. The owners took pride in the restaurant. The food was always fresh and the options were abundant.
I’m not sure if this restaurant changed ownership, but it is nothing like it used to be. It has gone downhill substantially. Chinese buffet food is hit or miss in general, but even at the most mediocre restaurants, the food is at least edible. The food here is gross. Not one item my husband and I got from the buffet was appetizing. It was lunchtime, and the food was somehow cold and hard as if it sat out for hours. I couldn’t even bite through the sesame chicken. The broccoli was cold and the sauce was almost congealed. The buffet lacks diversity for the price one pays to eat here. We pay the same amount to eat at the buffets in Niles and Boardman, which are much higher quality and have a sushi bar. They also now make you pay prior to even entering the buffet, probably because they realize that people would leave with one look of the dining area and buffet.
The dining area is filthy. There are personal belongings like kids’ toys and other random items strewn all over the tables and booths. I’m not sure how that is even permitted in a public restaurant. The soda machine was not properly functioning, yet we were still charged for our soda that we sent back twice for not having any carbonation. The patrons dining next to us had the same issue with a different type of soda. The entire experience was awful. The very kind waiter could likely sense that we weren’t happy, as he kept coming over every few minutes to ask if everything was still okay. I will never go back here.

Just don’t. Keep driving. My Daughter & I went there while in Sharon. What a mistake. First impressions weren’t great as it looked like it was thrown together. We had to wait for the ONE person to finally be done to pay before we sat down. We were the ONLY ones in there. I wanted to look at the buffet first, but ya had to pay first. Then we hit that all star disaster of a dining space. Loved the booths directly in front of the toilets. Also loved the dust encrusted decor. Really loved one of the workers taking her newborn to the booth behind us to change the baby’s diaper. Was thrilled about all the junk taking up 2 or 3 booth spaces. It was like a dirty storeroom. Then we get to the “buffet”. We couldn’t believe the sparse, lukewarm and COLD ( supposed to be hot) food. It was not only awful, ( like chewing jerky ), but they used large pans to serve less food. Dessert buffet? Don’t even call it that. Pathetic. We left not even finishing a plate. It was a total waste of money. If that is what they call a restaurant, they need to sell it, pack it in. It was shameful.

Not what it used to be. The prices went up, and the food had been sitting for a long time at 6pm. Everyone ended up with a stomach ache. The food used to be good, but a lot of the stuff we normally liked wasn’t very good. The cakes were old and stale, and the soup was covered in a thick film like it had been sitting all day. The server was attentive with drinks. The cashier was friendly. Right when we were about to leave there was a strong unpleasant foul odor. They were cleaning the bathroom so I don’t know if that had something to do with it, but it smelled like old decaying corpse. It was really awful. We were the only people there.

We have been waiting for the buffet to open back up here and were excited to see it is fully up and running again. The workers and servers are friendly here, and it is a nice atmosphere. Oddly, you have to pay when you first walk in, which we found strange, but maybe they get a lot of walk outs and it wasn’t an issue at all. The buffet had about 31 hot items on it, so there was plenty to choose from. Of those items, we only found 3 or 4 that we thought were very good. The rest, to us, was just average to below average Chinese buffet food. If you choose to eat here, I am sure you can find a few selections that are satisfying to your palette, but if you are looking for lots of great, delicious choices and oriental flavors, this is not the place. Sadly, we don’t seem to have any amazing Chinese buffets in our area at all. We really wanted to love this place, but our first time here will be our last time.

So this place has went to crap!!! We used to love this places for 4 adults and 1 child I paid 85 bucks for old cold hard nasty food! And a lot of empty pans I asked for new hot food twice and was basically ignored! I’m very disappointed they had tables with trash and stuff all over it I’m lost for words with this place

If you’re wasting your time looking through reviews, just take all of the 1 stars in account, cold food, empty trays, most of the food looked like it was from the night prior just sitting under a heat lamp. Walked in and had to ask the server if we can dine in and it was like she became upset from that. Don’t waste your time or money!!!!!

Server was non existent, two young loudmouth girls took 15 minutes to give us our drink two of which were water. Butted into our conversation rudly and didn’t even give us the right drinks at first. The food was old and didn’t get replaced until after another customer complained. Definitely not new and definitely won’t be coming back. No wonder they make you pay bf you eat.

It was okay, not the worst. The service wasn’t the best as they seated us and never came back to get us refills on drinks or anything. It seems like they have a lot of younger adults working so the food feels less, authentic? The food on the buffet was pretty much gone and what was there was nearly cold. The best thing this place has going is the atmosphere wasn’t bad. It has a lot of potential to be really good and judging by other reviews, it used to be way better. Not the worst place, probably wouldn’t go again tho.
