First time at New Korea Restaurant and I was genuinely impressed.
It’s a small, hidden spot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Not loud or trendy — just calm and comfortable. Most of the customers seemed like locals, and you can tell many of them are regulars.
The restaurant is very clean, which immediately made us feel at ease. The elderly server was incredibly kind and attentive. The side dishes were refilled quickly without us even having to ask. The soup was delicious and arrived still boiling at the table — those little details really make a difference.
There’s a real Korean home-style cooking feeling here. It’s not fancy, but every bite feels warm, comforting, and satisfying — the kind of food that makes you feel taken care of.
At the end, they even gave us complimentary small drinks, which was such a sweet touch.
Definitely a humble, hidden gem that deserves more love. We’ll be back.

We were driving Highway 1 for a weekend trip and stopped in Marina for lunch. So glad we chose New Korea Restaurant—the food and service were great, and the dishes tasted truly authentic. 100% worth the stop. We’ll definitely be back.

This is overall a solid restaurant for Asian food, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. It’s decent, but nothing crazy special! Just simple and tasty food.
I got the bibimbap, which was packed with fresh vegetables and lots of flavor! I loved the sweet/spicy sauce you mix in. The veggies were not overcooked, which I really appreciated. However, the dish lacked beef… The amount of meat was very minimal compared to the portions of rice and veggies.
My friends did enjoy their soups! But nothing super impressive to note. Just decently made piping hot soups for a chilly day in Marina.

I been to many Korean restaurants. In comparison, the taste is like 2.5 star. Is a 3 star at best. We want to try it out n probably will not come back because there are so many other choices to eat. I do like the service tho.

Went here for a late lunch after a beach morning and food was great and service was prompt. The sides were good but didnt have japche and the fish cakes that I’m used to being from San Jose. Overall a good restaurant and we recommend this place. We will be back. Gamsahabnida to New Korea restaurant. Get the Pajun (korean pancake) its so good.

My husband and I want to try something different so we decide to go to this restaurant. We ordered the spicy pork and the Korean Fried rice in the pot. They are pretty good but a little bit pricy. It’s a small cozy family owned restaurant. There were a lot of people coming in during dinner hours. The Parking is limited but we didn’t have problem since we came in earlier.

A spiritual experience. To start, caring, attentive service. Hot stone bibimbap had a deeply healing quality, left nothing to be desired. My partner ordered the Yook Gae Jang and I did not hear from them until it was finished. I will tell others. I will remember this for a long, long time. Thank you, New Korea Restaurant.
