What a gem. It was fun to go to the oldest bar in Michigan. Historic photos on the wall along with items found during the restoration and placed in a glass case to view.
Michelle, our waitress was so accommodating with our group of 10. She provided history of the inn and always found time to be available to our group when she could.

Been here a few times. last couple of times I stopped in just for a drink after work. it was later in thew evening but still had a couple hours before closing. last couple times the bar tender just seemed to be not at all excited to be there, so instead of sitting down and ordering a drink I left and went elsewhere.
If only the staff greeted you with a smile at least, that means a lot when I’m about to sit and spend my money when I don’t need to.

Went here tonight, and I’ll never return. I asked the waitress for a recommendation between the nachos and texas toast burger. She said nachos. They were terrible, just flat, salty chips with barely any chicken. I sent it back and the bar tender tried to pressure me into paying for them in addition to my second choice of entrée. Saying they don’t comp meals and those were “standard nachos”. Well when I go out to eat, I don’t expect standard food. Food that I could prepare for myself at home. She was rude and challenging. Making me feel bad for not liking an order. Screw her. And the waitress lost our order ticket causing a delay on our food, also mixed up credit cards and I got charged for someone else’s order. Pee yew this place stinks.

3/5 There are some places where you strictly need to dine in to get what you pay for and I have a feeling New Hudson Inn is one of them. Picked up food on our way home from Kensington Metro park – there must have been a hundred motor cycles outside. It’s clear this is a community favorite and the food must normally be good. However, the chicken sandwich was just okay and the sweet potato fries had no life left in them. Also not a fan of the fact that you have to pay extra to get lettuce, onion, and tomato added to the sandwich. Wouldn’t have bothered if that was advertised over the phone. On the bright side, the honey mustard was good. Hope this place continues to serve others well.

Went for a date night, won’t be back. Waitress took forever to greet us. Never came back to offer refills when our drinks were done, we asked once as she was passing by and she forgot about them. Finished our meal and again waited a while to get the check and some boxes.
She spent the majority of the time we were waiting talking to what had to have been friends or regulars by the bar.
Food was good, but there was a steak special advertised and it wasn’t on the menu. When we asked about it, our waitress directed us to burgers instead. ♀️

Arrived Friday evering and I was skeptical on going here. Wife wanted to go so I was like ok let’s try it’s. Cozy bar with a good beer selection and decent menu. Had to get the heart attack burger with fries. Waitress was pretty good and no complaints. The other waitress behind the bar with the blonde hair kind of had a mouth though. Not a big deal but definitely not a family friendly place with that language. I wasn’t offended so not big deal. It’s definitely a bar atmosphere so it’s expected. Anyways, the burger was awesome and was very happy.
I’d say if you’re looking for a good burger stop and sit at the bar…we’ll definitely be back for the food.

I stopped by the New Hudson Inn on the way to Detroit, and I wasn’t disappointed. The building is quite old, and that was part of my reason for stopping here, but my lunch was very good. It was basically a better version of a Big Mac, and it really hit the spot; the fries were also good. It’s a nice unpretentious place that seems to serve a pretty friendly crowd. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

This place is horrible and the staff is rude, slow, and those old waitresses are always grouchy. The food was decent (but still overpriced for the quality) if you can get over the real chance someone will spit in it out of spite since their personal problems are taken out on customers. I’ll happily leave an honest review whether negative or positive, and I ALWAYS leave a tip. Even miserable hags; it’s not easy seeing happy people.

Went for breakfast and it was awesome. From the warm donuts given to us as we sat down to the omelettes everything was great. Service was very attentive and atmosphere was nice. Don’t know when if ever we will be back in area but would go out of the way to eat here again.

I had the chicken quesadilla it was the awesome flavors tasted so good. My Son had the burger and it was big he took half of it home. I tired his onion ring omg it was good. This was the 3rd time there and this time was the best tasting food by far. Will be back.
