Best egg drop soup! When Im here in the colder days people come in to buy it buy the pints! No beating their lunch specials. You get the amazing egg drop soup and an egg roll. We always get the cream cheese puffs/wontons. Everything is so fresh. Made to order. I’ve tried multiple lunch dishes. All always good. Service is fast even when the small dining are is full. The lady who runs it is very nice.

I have been coming to this hidden gem since it first opened and I love the familial atmosphere AND the fact that it is family owned. The prices haven’t changed, the taste of the food is still the same… heck, everything is still the same! Even the sticker machine next to the cashier counter is the same. This is a prime example of if it isn’t broken, DO NOT try to fix it! Just about everything else has closed or changed in that little plaza, but New Golden China is still there, and in my opinion… it is GOLDEN, Pony Boy!

Food was great. We ordered crab puffs came out crispy and golden. Egg drop soup was delicious and not overly hot in temp. Thai tea was also mixed well. Lo mein and sweet and sour pork was cooked to perfection. Will be back.

I honestly should have just turned around and walked out as soon as I smelled this place. It was the worst sewage smell I’ve ever smelt in a restaurant. I was picking up an order and it was hard enough to be in there to pay. I have no idea how people are supposed to sit and eat there. I can’t eat the food because the white rice has like absorbed the awful smell. The sweet and sour sauce smells weird too and has a bad aftertaste. Egg drop soup is extremely watered down and has a gross green tint to it. Clean your grease trap or call a plumber because there is something seriously wrong and you could be making people sick! Now I’m out $30. Will update if we get sick from the couple of bites we tried.

We had to try this hole in the wall right around the corner from where we live, and I gotta say we weren’t disappointed. We walked in and sat down, ordered and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Nice place for you and the wife just to sit and talk and have good food.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had! Fortune cookies are old my dish is over soaked in sauce. The portion size is what you would find on a kids menu.

Customer service was good. Food was ready in 10 min to ordering for pick up. Lo main was super bland we had to add spices. It was super plain. The pot stickers weren’t bad but again bland in flavor. Go to lotus garden it’s 100× better.

Went to New Golden China Restaurant in Mesa/Apache Junction today to meet my son for lunch. The front of house was clean and there was only one other customer when I arrived. It was a good thing I got there when I did because just after I ordered, 7 or 8 tables filled up with 1, 2 or 4 guests at each one. I was told by Eric, my server, to have a seat anywhere. I choose a booth but the seat was in pretty bad shape and I was actually 2 to 3 inches lower than the table. I quickly choose a table instead. The table and chairs are heavy duty wood and a rich dark brown color. Eric took my drink order and quickly returned with it. I asked him about a couple of their dishes and he explained them to me in detail. I ordered the Mo Tofu which is mixed vegetables and tofu in a brown sauce. My son had the veggie fried rice, without the egg, and with tofu. Both were delicious. Their tofu is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portions are fairly large and I had to get a doggie bag. The drinks are very good as well. The prices are reasonable, just a little over $20 for two large meals. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in the area.
