I will never return. First, I arrived at 10:45 am. The sign was blinking “Open,” but it wasn’t. I waited in my car. A woman in her car arrived waited a few minutes and then left. The manager/cooks arrived after 11:00 am. I ordered the combination chicken wings with Shrimp Fried Rice but received Plain Fried Rice, which I didn’t discover until I arrived home. I also ordered Fried Rib Tips, House special Yak Mein, and two Shrimp Egg Rolls, but I received Plain. The fried rice was dry along with the chicken wings. The Fried Rib Tip just didn’t taste good. I gave the food away. After 30 minutes, my food was brought to my car. The only thing I enjoyed was the lemonade. I was very disappointed.

Definitely much better than the other reviews portrait. For Virginia Chinese food is very adequate. The price is good and the food is exactly what you expect from a Chinese food place like this. The crab Rangoon has more crab than it does cream cheese. The wonton egg drop soup is tasty. And the sweet-and-sour chicken is exactly like pretty much anywhere else that you would go. I will say that the rice was a little bit salty for my taste. But for the price it works just fine. Definitely not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but definitely not the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had either.

The food is awful! Do not waste your money.
The chicken with cashews had no cashews, no flavor, mushy rice, and huge vegetables. Oh and they covered it with peanuts.
The shrimp lo mein was too starchy. Almost like they used corn starch in their sauce and it made the noodles stick together. It was gross.
The steamed dumplings were really mushy. They had no flavor, but the sauce that came with them made them edible.
Finally, the egg rolls. It’s really hard to mess up fried food. Like, really really hard. But the inside of these egg rolls were also… you guessed it!! MUSHY.
Everything about the food I ordered was saddening, because I really wanted good Chinese food. Definitely didn’t find it at this place.
I will not be ordering again, and I suggest you don’t either.

The dishes I ordered lacked any authentic flavors that one would expect from a reputable Chinese restaurant. It felt as though the ingredients had been mishandled and the dishes were hastily thrown together. I have had better tasting meals from instant noodles.
Furthermore, I was shocked by the astronomical prices on the menu. For the amount of money I paid, I expected a culinary masterpiece, not the unappetizing mess that was served to me. It’s apparent that the prices do not reflect the quality of the food.

Went to New Delicate China located at 6201 Sewells Point Rd in Norfolk on 12/12/21 after seeing that my regular Chinese Restaurant was closed due to renovations. I spent $26 and my food was tasteless, dry, and the rice was hard. I should have asked for my money back when I saw the lady warming something up in the microwave but I wasn’t sure what she warming up. I called them to inform them of my complaint and the lady stated it had to be my taste because their food is always fresh,everyone loves their food and they don’t get any complaints. Then proceeded to say she was busy and had to go bye.. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS PLACE AGAIN!!

Restaurant gave away food before the delivery driver got there and said that I came and picked it when, when I ordered through door dash for delivery. I guess this restaurant has terrible customer service and has not checks in place for order confirmation. So if you want free food just go and say you’re picking up and order, they’ll probably give you free food.
