The New Day Café is a Locally Owned and Operated Family Restaurant. We are open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. We offer a wide variety of menu items along with daily specials and senior citizen menu as well as carry out on our whole menu. We have a family friendly atmosphere in a casual dining setting. We are located on US 41, just North of I 70 in Terre Haute, IN.

Love this breakfast spot! The grits are the best grits I have ever had. Make sure to go early because they do run out. They are so creamy that you don’t even need to add butter or cheese (but you can!) I had the Mexican skillet and loved every bite. Nothing was bland, not overly spicy or salty. My husband had the Mexican omelette and he’s also loved it. It is a nice, large serving. Service is great, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Spacious restaurant, just looks like they need to update decor a bit. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband loved the pancakes and syrup portion, the place is affordable. We had a young lady with braids who did an amazing job. I did not get her name unfortunately. We were passing through from Kansas City and saw the place from the gas station across the street.

This cute little cafe is right next to the iHop. We pulled up, not sure what we wanted and the New Cafe’s parking lot was way more packed than ihop. So we followed the crowd. So glad we did! The service is wonderful, even though they were busy the wait time for food was maybe 8 minutes, and oh my the food! The food is delicious! Way better than any ihop or big chain.

How to send my food back two different times because it was cold. Manager and server both did not believe me and they had to put their hands in my food just to prove that it wasn’t cold by their standards I want my food hot. Will never be coming back to this dump of a restaurant.

Cute and simple diner on highway 41, great for comfort food. The soup is the highlight of the menu, the service is always good, and very much worth the low price! Nice place to come get some work done and relax.

This was our first time eating here. I have sever anxiety and I was completely relaxed within 5 minutes. The food was amazing. Super clean and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Update: my husband and myself go here at least once a week sometimes more often. The food is amazing with very little waiting. The staff and service are impeccable .

The cod was excellent. My dad said the tenderloin he ordered was very good.

We both had soup with our meal. Mine was the vegetable-beef and my wife had the chicken “shell” (noodle). Both soups we good.
The chicken sandwich I had was tasty. My wife was a little disappointed with her meal. She felt the chicken was a little greasy and the cooked carrots were like mush. They didn’t bring the roll that came with her meal and the dessert was brought out after I had went up to pay.
So it was a mixed feeling for the place. Worth a try in my opinion.
