Hello. My name is Chuan Chen, but you can call me Michael. I would like to apologize first hand that my English is not good, but I try my best in everything I do. I am from Fuzhou, Fujian, China. I immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 17 and did all sorts of job. I started this business when I was around 28 years old, and I am happy at how much New China Taste has grown since then. I am a certified Chef, and I have competed in many Culinary competitions overseas in Beijing, China. However, there is always space for more learning and growing in the future. Great food and good size portions. I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein dinner which came with chicken fried rice and a spring roll. Instead of chow mein noodles, I got fresh won ton chips which was a pretty good change. While it came with one spring roll, it was the same size as an egg roll and was full of ingredients. Best spring roll I have ever had. I opted for delivery as they only charged $2 for delivery. It was delivered quickly to my door, and they called when they arrived. I also had the special egg foo young. I am not sure what all was in it, but the patties were very good size and there were big pieces of shrimp inside. The Hot Sour Soup was also excellent and a very good size portion. I am very pleased with the food and would certainly order from them again.

The lady behind was a little abrupt at first, as I was asking a lot of questions about the menu, but aft45 ai ordered, she however allowed me to sit inside, and eat my lunch as it was raining outside.
The Soup was pretty bland, nothing much for flavor, but it was tasty with their house made chili oil on a rainy day.
The dumplings were fantastic, a little thick on the dough, but stuffed well and very juicy. Try the veggies one too, it was delicious.

I chose this place because it was close to our hotel and seemed to have good reviews. We ordered from the lunch special menu: General Tso’s chicken, mom ordered cashew chicken, husband ordered beef with broccoli. My mom and I did not like ours. We found the meat chewy and it had an odd texture and taste. My husband liked his beef, but honestly, he’s a Marine and will eat almost anything. I’m glad I didn’t order drinks because when I went to pick up the food, it turned out sodas were included.

I’ve lived off of Richmond Hwy my whole 46yrs and have only had good Chinese food from 2 establishments in the area until now! My friend tagged me in her pic and I had to try it on my own. Well she didn’t tell a lie! The shrimp fried rice was the BEST EVER!! I couldn’t stop thinking about it and went back 3days later..same order but add shrimp egg foo young! Amazing!!! You have to try them!!!

This evening I placed an online order for cucumber salad, fried dumplings and noodles. Once I started eating the dumplings I felt hair in my mouth! Looked down and saw not one, but TWO strands of hair in my food. After running to the restroom I immediately called New China Taste. I told her what happened and she asked me “what would you like me to do?” I was surprised at the dismissive response I received. Rather than addressing my concern with an apology or offering a replacement, it felt as though I was bothering her and the issue was brushed aside. Finding hair in a dish is unpleasant enough, but the lack of empathy and being dismissed made it worse. The lack of basic hygiene standards is unacceptable. The individual working tonight at New China Taste showed a lack of care for their customers’ experience. I would think twice before returning or recommending it to others. I’m eagerly waiting a response from management.

The first time I came here the food was good but then it is complete trash we ordered a chicken szechuan style bit got no chicken lol they might as well call it veggi szechuan style , then we got the fried rice and it was trash no taste at all, and the beef and broccoli barley any beef and broccoli was hard as a rock , the only thing good was the white rice will never go back !!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter and I came here after church. The lady was nice and very helpful. We ordered vegetable Lo Mein and combination Lo Mein. We also ordered spring rolls and a side of rice. The food was delicious! Customer service was amazing. I would say skip the fried rice. My daughter was not pleased with he fried rice.

Read somebody’s review about their chicken and broccoli, so decided to try it and it’s one of the best I’ve tasted!!! Love that their dinner combos automatically come with chicken fried rice (instead of pork like in most other restaurants). Spring rolls have shrimp and are also tasty (included with all lunch & dinner combos)!
