My son has been raving about the Sweet & Sour Fish at the restaurant. So we went there while we were visiting him and his fiancé. The fish were nicely fried, crunchy, coated with the traditional Chinese restaurant sweet and sour source. I thought if the fish were in smaller pieces, it would be better. We also order a few other dishes and they were decent. We ordered the beef tendon and they gave us like 2 lbs of them. Came to find out that it was charged by the pound. They should have asked us how much do we want. That said, at the end of the day, every thing was good and we would go back.

Great portion of food. Delicious and comforting. The items on menu themselves are not on the cheap side but given its large portion, it has good value for sure.

Chef’s specials are all pretty good. I am not Northeastern China local but I have tried six different dishes so far and it never missed. Very satisfying.

They also sell frozen premade food. It is also great! Dumplings and Baos are yummy.

Authentic guo bao rou it the vinegar is strong and tickles your nose a little bit and the sweetness level is right. I wish the intestines were cut up a little smaller in the dry pot but it was very well cleaned. Lovely deli section where you can buy handmade dumplings, harbin sausage, etc.

Located on a busy thoroughfare in Millbrae, this restaurant has a group of loyal customers. Street parking may be difficult but usually you should find some open space across the street.

Unlike your typical Chinese Restaurant, this place specializes in Northern China style cuisine, so some of the dining experience may feel reversed. For example, they have a mince noodle that is served cold, but a Tofu Skin that is served hot. The English description are a bit off and they have a variety of frozen buns and other food you can buy to-go (they don’t serve the buns at the restaurant).

For the less adventurous, their spicy tofu, Crispy Sweet and Sour Chicken (breaded and fried crispy) and a dry noodle are good starting point, and for vegetables, their stir fry green beans is good (but best served with some rice).

Overall, this place is not bad, but wish their menu was more accurate in the description/content to meet customer’s expectations.

Ordered to go for salt and pepper pork chop. Gave me sweet sour pork
The other order for garlic sauce chicken. It was ok but just sweet. I was expecting a spicy flavor.

They taste like more of panda express which is sad since Chinese food have different origin so they have their own taste and character. More Chinese restaurants are copying panda express these days.
Truly disappointing. They should promote their own authentic food

The Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork) is abosulutely phenomenal! Its probably the best in the SF Bay Area. The flavor is perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The batter is perfectly fried and crispy, the meat to batter ratio is amazing. Tastes great, can’t stop!

Food was so good and the service was amazing! I assume our server was the owner himself based on other reviews but he was great. When we were ordering we sort of ordered some stuff we were already familiar with, and he gave us some awesome suggestions to add a bit of variety to our meal. Everything that came out was delicious and the standout was the Shanxi Pork Noodles, it was soooo good! We inhaled all the food

The traditional Northeast China cuisine in the town. Many famous cuisines can be found here and are made in a traditional taste. There are special cold dishes as appetizers. One thing to mention is that they offer the zong-zi for Dragon Boat Festival, including the pork-belly ones and the dates ones.

I had an amazing dining experience at this Chinese restaurant! Their sweet and sour pork is hands down one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The vegetable dish and pork cabbage soup were equally delightful. The service was very responsive, and I didn’t have to wait at all when I visited for Sunday lunch. Parking is along the neighborhood, we had to drive a little bit to find a spot but it wasn’t crowded. I highly recommend this place for a delicious and hassle-free meal!

One of the best Chinese food in Bay Area. The food was really delicious! The service is nice and quick. The price is not expensive.

Every dish we tried was really good, especially pig ear, sweet&sour pork, pumpkin with egg yolk.
