I’ve been trying smash burgers from all over the greater Seattle area lately and heard of New Burbs having residency at Ounces Brewery in West Seattle so I finally stopped by today.

The smell as I waited for my order was INSANELY intoxicating, the little booth is small but he navigated the space, my order was done much faster than I expected and it was so well done. Not only were the burgers/fries yummier than anything I’ve tried but the presentation and service was beyond what I could have expected!

I love the original Burbs Burger because the burger was juicy and and well-seasoned.
However, both Roadhouse and Special’B Burger were too salty and overcooked. The patties were very dry with bitter charred bits.
I am definitely disappointed.

Was excited to eat again at Burbs but my burger was way overcooked and dry. I order somehow a loaded fry, I thought it was plain fries. At first I thought cool but once tasting the fries, it was not cool. Sweet cold pickle relish on stale fries and coagulated cheese was not good at all, even if it was fresh fries and melt-y cheese, it wouldn’t have been odd but with it not being fresh, it was gross. Just an FYI I was there not delivered.

So happy this place is back!!! My husband and I used to eat at the Georgetown location a few times a month probably and were devastated when they closed down. We happened to see this one open in West Seattle and are so excited it is open again and this time even closer to us! The food is as great as before, if not better. Service, as always is excellent and the location is so fun with the brewery next door. Highly recommend Burbs for the best smash burgers in town.

It’s definitely not a smash burger. Which it claims to be. They put the whole burger in a press or something but the patties are not smashed. They looked and tasted almost identical to a McDonald’s burger but for 3x the price. The fries were also probably frozen or something. Can’t expect much out of a food stand I guess. I think the burbs burger was better before they switched ownership. No hate but the burger was pretty mid and for the price I wouldn’t get it again. Cool spot though right next to the beer spot.

Burger kinda tasted like it was smashed on top of the burnt pieces of the one it was previously cooked on. Chicken sandwich is a no longer a hand breaded thigh, rather some frozen patty. Old burbs had its problems but at least the food was consistent.

There, bacon burgers, literally one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life. Shockingly good.

Took 20 mins. Only table and came out barely warm. Customer service was awful.

So glad it’s back! I just hope they bring back the spicy chicken sandwich with the spicy seasoning they used to use.
