Busy little spot for great breakfast/lunch. Pay up front as you leave.
Portions are good sized and priced well and ALWAYS served hot and fresh. Servers are friendly and attentive. Today we ordered one of the daily specials, Steak and Eggs. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our eggs are always cooked as ordered and coffee is topped off frequently.

New Beginnings is the quintessential Midwest diner. If you like that kind of thing, you’ll love this place. No nonsense, good diner food with a small town energy feel, quick service and a convenient location.
We ordered some coffee as well as the San Francisco French toast with hot syrup
with bacon or sausage or ham- we got the sausage cooked extra extra crispy- no complaints from my boyfriend!
I ordered the Cheese omelette with sourdough toast (which I love, as I don’t regularly find sourdough on a men)- it was huge! I took half of it home to eat for dinner .
Located right on Lake Michigan drive, across from the Standale Meijer, it’s easy to access, quick to get in and out, and has no surprises foodwise .

This is a great place to get breakfast. The food is consistently good and the service is great. They have the best bacon around and they still do the third egg free upon request.

The place is well liked so be prepared to wait a minute. It’s also tight and loud, but the food is excellent. I cannot speak for the service routinely, but it was consistent with being packed. So, you may wait more than you want, but the servers were nice and kept the coffee and waters full.

Second time eating breakfast here when we visit the area. Last time, pretty good, which would be average for a coney type venue. However, this time we were truly disappointed. Coffee? Literally did not taste like coffee. It was hot and dark, but very bland, as if they ran continuous pots of water through the same old coffee grinds. I spent 26 years in the army and know what bad coffee is. And my western omelet, topped with your typical grocery store cheese slice single, and no doubt filled with the same, had little flavor. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by the post GVSU Sunday morning football crowd. Regardless, we will look at other breakfast options in the future.

Very attractive dining area. We had 8 in our party and plenty if room. It was a busy Sunday place at noon, but still enjoyable and easy to talk.
Plenty of servers and food came.out in a reasonable time.

Fix your company website and you’d pry get more sales. When I pulled up menu it was nothing but spammy ads. I literally couldn’t order food if I wanted to. You’re company lost money because your website is no functional.

If I could give this location zero stars I would.
Going around 1030 the restaurant was not very busy but we were not approached at our table for a considerable amount of time.
A server said our server would come over shortly but got us waters and upon asking we received menus. The food was under seasoned, American fries were overcooked and yet some still slightly hard, toast was burned on one side, and one of our water cups had a gross thick gunk inside.
Our bill was brought with the food and not brought by our server.
We will not be coming back.

Apparently they don’t open at 6:00 am like there sign on the main entrance says. Showed up at 6:45 am doors were locked. Employees were inside and they just ignored the fact that customers were outside waiting. Why have a sign saying you’re open at 6:00 am and then not be open. Also change your time on google maps.
