-the online booking experience was terrible… it just didn’t work and sent an error message each time I tried. And why you need to book the wine in advance to pay a little bit cheaper? Weird thing…
Anyway I had to message the restaurant to do the booking.
It turned out that the restaurant was very empty anyway.
-the service was good with professional waiters and waitress.
-the food presentation is very good, but the balance of the each dish was a bit off… basically the food is good but the taste is not at the level of the presentation. The pizza was the most disappointing… not at the level is should be for such an Italian restaurant and such high prices.
-the wine list is long, but the prices are very high. No “affordable” wine option is available… the cheapest wine bottle is over 220myr already.
I been here on early of January for a quiete lunch.
The orecchiete Pesto was undercook and bland, tasting more like something reheated than freshly made. Price was 70 Rm++ for that dish, extremely expensive. The sauce lacked depth and seasoning, which is surprising for an Italian place.
I requested for Calzon pizza folded but it was almost burnt in certain spots.
The tiramisu cake was tasteless, in the menu was reported as “contain alcohol” but can’t taste any of liquor, and price at 49 Rm++ was totally a disappointment.
The prosecco by glass was almost flat, maybe the bottle was opened since few days already.
The Aperol spritz was a total disaster, 55 Rm++ and also there the prosecco was totally flat.
The service was not attentive at all, need to call few times the waiter to clean the empty plates from our table.
The environment instead is clean and very well preserved.
Overall overpriced (430MYR in 2) and poorly prepared, nothing we ordered justified the prices or the wait.
With so many good Italian and western restaurants out there, this one unfortunately misses the mark. I won’t be returning.
We ordered the Pizza Messicana and Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia. The pizza dough was nice, but the toppings didn’t feel worthy of the high price. The squid ink pasta was undercooked and quite hard to chew, which made it less enjoyable.
The environment is very high-end — maybe a bit too classy, to the point it feels uncomfortable to relax. Some staff were attentive, but overall the atmosphere felt a bit tense and not very welcoming.
Overall, it’s okay — not amazing, but you can give it a try at least once if you’re curious.
Prices were reasonable and portions great for sharing. We brought some takeout home, and even my mother-in-law and my kid who didn’t join us loved it.
If you’re nearby, this place is definitely worth trying but go early so you have time to enjoy the full menu and relax .
The food and service are both excellent.
