The bar served up two excellent margaritas and Old Fashioneds, just the way we like them. We started with the thinly-sliced fried zucchini chips, which were some of the best we’ve ever had: feather light & crispy. Our mains were seared salmon, cooked perfectly to temperature, served with a rice/spinach mix that was such a nice pairing; and the diver scallops, grilled with porkbelly – so savory and delicious! – served with corn and red pepper were amazing! For dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed their hand-rolled baklava served with pistachio ice cream, plus cappuccinos.
Overall, the restaurant had a very upbeat vibe that was supported by a super friendly staff (Marina, plus hostess Kristiana among the stars). We will return after the holidays to sample more of the menu and spend time with our new friends!
The ambiance is cozy, chic and there is enough room to move throughout the restaurant freely (so many NYC restaurants are too tiny). The servers were very attentive and kind.
I got the loukoumi drink which was incredible. It’s heavy on the rose so it was very floral-y. I enjoyed it. The complimentary bread with olive dip was insanely addictive. We aren’t even fans of olives and we loved it.
We started with the spanakopita. Flaky, savory and the tzatziki added a nice freshness. The grilled octopus was our favorite dish. The caramelized onions and peppers added sweetness, paired with the charcoaled octopus and santorini fava… the dish was so well balanced and every flavor complimented one another. Absolute must order.
The salmon entree was cooked perfectly as well. There was a nice crisp on top and crispy leeks, on a bed of spinach rice. Adding the santorini fava from the grilled octopus dish = FIRE!
They brought out a complimentary piece of cake for my birthday, which was very sweet. This is a great place to dine and I highly recommend it!
Great service and delicious food, especially the squid ink pasta. And also spectacular wines and a great in restaurant made desserts as seen below!
Highly recommended
duck breast: the portion size is small (5-6 pieces for a $40 buck dish is not worth it). They didn’t ask us about how well we would like it to be done. It’s medium well when the dish is served…
