I recently discovered Nene’s Italian food truck on US 1 in Bunnell and decided to pay her a visit. She is warm,friendly and a darn good cook. Most everything is made from scratch. I absolutely loved her chicken cutlet pizza with a perfect blend of ricotta and mozzarella along with her homemade sauce but what wins the day was a terrific crust….kudos. Do yourself a favor and call ahead or just stop by and enjoy. Steve….Addendum…this was my 3rd visit to Nene’s,the 2nd time for their lasagna which I would order again and now to try their chicken Francese and Marsala. Unfortunately due to Verizon’s collapse of phone service I had no choice but to order online and upon arriving Nene informed me that she couldn’t call me to let me know she couldn’t fulfill my order and refunded my money. Disappointed but not deterred she,her nephew and master chef whipped up a delicious alternative meal. I can’t wait to try the dishes they couldn’t deliver!!

The presentation, portion sizes and flavor were great! Waaaaay better lasagna than the Olive Garden chain all day long!! Please don’t sleep on this food truck! Stop and grab something and see for yourself. I’m excited to try some other entrees next time I pass through. Maybe the Eggplant Parm, or Chicken Marsala, or one of the subs! Yum
