Went in today and got some sides to go with something I already had. The Mac & cheese and candies yams are pretty good. I haven’t tried the meats yet but I will soon. The employees were friendly and service was fast. I’ll be giving them another try happy to see a soul food place with quality food in this area.

Had a bit of everything with co-workers today. Whole chicken was juicy and flavorful. Ribs had just come of the grill and were amazing. Chops and gravy were good.
Mac&cheese,slaw & collards were good as well. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I ordered the vegetables — cabbage and corn mixed with string beans. It was the worst vegetables I ever had. The corn and string beans taste like water…very bland with no taste at all. The cabbage looked dirty and taste like it was made in seafood grease by mistake. The awful taste made me gag.
Maybe their barbecue is better….I’m not going back.

I got the “NC BBQ, Collard greens and yams”. But the NC BBQ wasn’t close, the greens wasn’t cleaned good, had grit “dirt” in them and the yams was mashed sweet potatoes.
It was a waist of my time and money because I couldn’t Dr. Non of it up so I threw it in the trash. I’m sure some of the food is good, like chicken “fried/baked is hard to mess up” but those other items need attention.

Today my first day going I had the fried red snapper yams greens mac n cheese.
And I just say best 20 I spent the greens was ok not great but ok. Next time I’ll do the yams an mac only corn bread good too.
All in all i like this places i will go back an try somthing else

I hate to do this on GRAND OPENING DAY. I had a baked chicken breast with mac and cheese and collard greens. The best thing was the mac and cheese. The collard greens were blanched and AWFUL not to mention NO SEASONING. The baked chicken breast was dry and FLAVORLESS. I hope Nello’s get it together. I may try again when things die down.

It’s a no for me! Ordered rib dinner ,with potato salad and Mac and cheese . Ribs were OK , nothing too exciting about them. Potato salad tasted like it was previously frozen and very bland .My main disappointment was the Mac and cheese . VERRY BLAND AND THERE WAS A FLY IN IT . Would have took it back but was already home (20min away . Needless to say I won’t return .

I received a flyer last week and decided to try them today. Despite the hours posted for Sunday say close at 6pm, at 5 I was calling and getting voicemail and at 5:12 I was at the door to find it locked and empty. This is not a good impression.

This place isn’t open and hasn’t been open for a while . Dont waste your time . I’ve came here a few times just to try but it’s never open . The mail box is full and the inside is disgusting it hasn’t been anyone in there it’s a ghost town
