Really nice place. Food and service were great. The corned beef hash is homemade and delicious. Get it on the side, in an omelette or as a Benedict either way it’s delicious. This location is a good size and has a train theme that had my twins captivated by the engine running around the dining room. The tots are sneaky addictive.

We visited Nellie Rose Restaurant in Middleborough with a group of six even though we did not have a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and seated us quickly. Later, two more friends joined us, bringing our group to eight. The table had an extension that made it easy to fit everyone comfortably, which was perfect.

Our waitress, Rachel, was amazing. She had a great attitude, was friendly, and handled our large group with ease. She kept up with our drink orders from start to finish. We had about six or seven coffees at the table, and she stayed on top of refills the whole time. She even offered to get us coffees to go at the end, which was a nice gesture.

I ordered the steak tips cooked medium well with home fries, eggs, and raisin toast. The steak tips were cooked perfectly, tender inside with a nice char on the outside. The raisin toast was incredible with a light cinnamon sugar edge that made it stand out. Others at the table ordered omelets and French toast, and everyone said their meals were delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and every plate was finished.

We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for a table, which was reasonable considering how popular the restaurant is. Once we were seated, the food came out quickly and everything was fresh and hot.

The restaurant itself had a very cozy and nostalgic feel. The decor fit perfectly with its warm, welcoming atmosphere. There was a beautiful railroad train photo on the wall that really caught our attention and added to the charm of the space.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all came together to make it a wonderful visit. Rachel’s positive energy and great service made it even better. Highly recommend Nellie Rose if you are in the area.

Had breakfast here this morning for the first time and loved everything about this place. The train theme decor is very well done; the waitstaff is friendly and good; the food is excellent. It’s cute, warm and friendly – great vibes. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated – no problem – there’s so much to look at on the walls and there’s a model train circulating above. It’s noisy – happy noise – people enjoying a good breakfast or lunch and good company. The staff is young and seem happy to be there. The portions are ample and the food is well prepared. The menu is varied – we both had Eggs Benedict – the hollandaise sauce was superb – and my home fries and my boyfriend’s tater tots were both super. I also had a super-spicy Bloody Mary in a mason jar that came with celery, lemon, lime & and olive. We will definitely return! Our new favorite breakfast place.

I love going out for breakfast and this is now probably my favorite spot. I just wish I lived closer. The service is quick and very friendly, they seem ro know everyone that comes through. Perfect small town breakfast and lunch restaurant. Prices are also very good. The experience couldn’t have been better.

Unbelievable! From the moment we walked in we smelled the cozy scent of French vanilla coffee. Atmosphere is so cool! Server was incredible! CORNBREAD WAS UNREAL. Fantastic. Can’t go wrong. My husband got the breakfast chipotle quesadillas and said they were to die for.

We have gone several times and every time we go we are not disappointed.

Pics are from 2 visits.

We usually go early in the morning on Saturdays. Every-time we go, even though the place looks full, we don’t wait long to get a table. We have been able to get seated right away.

The breakfast menu is very standard but with some twist. I like very much all the different eggs’ Benedict they have. The servers are very accommodating if you want or do t want something on your meal. Every meal we tried has been delicious. They have big portions, so go with an empty belly
Try their Portuguese Eggs’ Benedict. They are absolutely delicious.

The service is pretty fast in general. However, if they are busy you may have to wait a little for your bill. In the other hand, it’s good that the servers don’t come by you every second They really let you enjoy your meal.

This location doesn’t have a parking lot but it’s easy to find parking on the same street or nearby.

We always enjoy the atmosphere and the decor.

Definitely recommend

If you don’t know, Now ya know!
First time here, two doors to go through, one pick up and the other is for seating. Fairly good size restaurant with plenty of seating. Cutely decorated. I believe the ac was on at one point so we were rather chilly but halfway through it got shut off so it was much more enjoyable. Parking is on street so could be limited depending on how busy the area is. The food was outstanding, everything we had was superb! Asked for crispy bacon and it came out nice and crispy. Loved the option for flavored ice coffee, I do wish our waitress knew about the different flavors or at least a blurb about each flavor on the list. Our waitress wasn’t too friendly, but did see others that were. Will definitely be back and hopefully with a different waitress.

On our way home from Carver MA to Central NY, we passed on 2 other diners because they “didn’t look right”. We took our chances on this one and I’m so glad we did because the food and service was excellent. I had the Irish Benedict which had homemade hash and homemade hollandaise, it was spectacular! I look forward to my next trip to MA and will be coming here again for sure.
