Good coffee, super cool and modern interior with a cool patio. I will say, when we arrived more than 30 minutes before their closing time, the cashier rolled her eyes several times when she had to turn on the menu screen and when we ordered food. “We’re out of avocados,” “we’re out of protein powder and we just cleaned all the blenders.” I mean I’d understand if we were 10 or 15 minutes before closing so that was just disheartening. But the kind barista said she’d be happy to make a smoothie still 🙂 the menu has good, flavorful options with creative toasts and good pastries as well.
We came back a second time over the week and had a better experience thankfully. Benefit of the doubt, I like this place and hope it does well as we’ll likely frequent during our summers here!

Every drink I’ve ordered has been amazing. I love to get real Matcha at Nektar. It isn’t like the sweetened fake powder mixes you get almost everywhere else. The best thing I’ve had there might actually be the Avocado Toast!

I want to start off by saying that this place is NOT just a coffee shop. At night it’s a really relaxed lounge bar that serves some of the best drinks okoboji has to offer. The smoked old fashioned is usually my go to but they have so many more. I definitely recommend you check this place out if you haven’t already. If Ana’s your bartender, you’ve hit gold. Ask her for her specialty drinks. Last time I went in she made me a smoked pineapple margarita with vanilla bean foam and it was unreal. If you’re into espresso drinks try a Don Julio espresso martini, espresso old fashioned, or a bananas foster espresso martini. They also have live music on the weekends and games to play if that’s your thing. I usually play chess with friends and enjoy and old fashioned. 5 stars all day

We didn’t try any food but did see quiche and macaroons that were left uncovered on the counter, eww. The girl that helped us was borderline rude. We asked very basic questions to clarify before ordering, and she acted like we were dumb. It took 10 minutes (I’m being generous) for her to literally pour the “bloody mary” (canned cocktail- which is Not disclosed on the “menu” that it’s a pre-made canned cocktail) I ordered over ice and add a pickle and some meat. My sister and I watched her have a full-on conversation with a customer before wandering back to pour my drink. It was kind of ridiculous. It’s a cute enough place, but be prepared to wait. None of them had any hustle and it was dead, not like they were swamped. We won’t go back, lol. There are many great places in Arnold’s Park for a friendly experience.

Unfortunately I was too hungry to take a picture of my Red Bliss Bowl, however both my husband’s food and mine were unbelievably good regardless of the working space they have. Very disappointed that they aren’t located in Washington State.

Food was good for 2, not for the other 2. Service was very slow and 2 were done before the other 2 were served. Drinks forgotten. I’d go back solo for the hummus toast.
