I don’t always expect and nice, peaceful, comfortable setting being this is a restaurant. But gives me just this. I frequent here for breakfast before work. Hidden honey hole in plain site. My daughter loves it because she feels the presence of God watches over the establishment. From the locals I see most of the time to the delicious pork chops, mixed veggies and potatoes I consume it all makes me feel very much welcomed!

Cozy – like being home at grandma’s house!
Fresh brewed iced tea, and the chicken fried steak is my favorite one ever!! It and the fried okra (and I’m sure onion rings etc) are made from scratch, it’s oh so yummy light batter, not greasy!
The owner Elizabeth and her husband are very friendly. She’s got a lovely tropical patio garden too.

Good food and good service. The sign was missing out front so we had a little bit of a hard time finding it. We had enchiladas rice and beans both beef and cheese and all were good. The chips and hot sauce was good also. Friendly service.

The service was great! Super friendly. The food, however, was meh. I was not a fan of the enchiladas verdes. My son did not like his nachos. We did enjoy the salsa and queso, and my younger son loved his burger. I guess the food is hit and miss.

I went with my parents to eat on Saturday (April 25th) at Neinast in Somerville, Tx. We will NEVER go back again and I do not recommend anyone going to eat there. IN MY OPINION…
That was the worst place I have ever been to. My parents ate there a about 25 or so years ago and said it was good. This place has gone down the crapper. The gravy tasted like it was made from the ranch dressing mix, the hamburger steak was beyond raw, the soda was as flat as could be, and the only server there left before we got our food so the cook (which we could not understand) had to bring out the food in portions while she was cooking it. I’m all for family business but having multiple life size portraits of kids in a restaurant to me is kind of strange. I’m sure people will not like me for this review but I am sorry. I really expected more from a restaurant that has been there since the 50’s . I don’t see how the health department has not shut them down.

Lunch buffet was excellent, service was great. Atmosphere was homey and comfortable. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that this is not a high end 5 star fancy place.
