Usually very good, but this is the second time I ordered an expensive hot chocolate and got brown chocolate scented water.
First time, I let it go because they have constant business and thought it to be an oversight. This time, it was slower and now no excuse. I even tipped them without tasting the hot chocolate first. Stupid me.
When I tried to call to let them know so that I could perhaps get a store credit, the voice mail is full and won’t accept messages.
Do better Neil’s.!
Either you either do not care about what what your serving or you employ a bunch of people that don’t care. I will stick with Dunkin. At least I won’t feel like I am ripped off when they fall below the standard.

The most unorganized breakfast spot I’ve ever seen. Waited for 30 minutes for a phone in order. Never received it should’ve known by the looks of the place. I’m sure the donuts are good but what an absolute mess get your crap together and respect your customers

They continue to have the friendliest and most accommodating staff. They are just wonderful! Here’s a new staff member, who did an excellent job in training this morning. I advised her that if she continued to be so sweet and tried hard to please the customer, she’d make an excellent addition to the crew! Their donuts are the absolute best donuts- vegan or not- that I’ve ever had in my entire life, and that says a lot because I’ve eaten a ton of donuts, and they are the best. Their prices are great, and the quality is above excellent, which is why I drive nearly an hour [Middletown, CT] once a month to pick up a dozen or more. You won’t be sorry!

Overall we love Neil’s Donuts! We come here at least once a week for the cinnamon cruller. It is by far one of the best donuts you can get in the area and priced well. We did notice that today’s batch was about 25% smaller than usual which was disappointing. I wish they added a bit of Saigon cinnamon to the powder mix as it would elevate an already great product. The lines can build up fairly quick depending on the time of day and the parking lot is chaotic with everyone reversing or pulling into parking spots and the drive through feeding right into the main entrance of the lot too. Don’t know the real solution to this issue. The staff is very nice which I appreciate especially considering just how busy the store can get. For the most part they keep everything well stocked too which is impressive. Also these crullers hold up so well! We’ve split them in half before and had them later in the day or even the next day without much loss in texture or flavor we’ve tried their other cinnamon donuts but these are our favorite. Apart from any filled donuts, is there anything we should try?

I saw this donut store on the news, so we went to get it before we leaving Connecticut. I am not a big fan of cake type donuts but the Boston cream one was FIRE!!!! I love the fluffy donut and fill with the cream sauce so much. And the price was so good too!

We’ve had this on our list of stops and we finally made it 10 minutes before close and was it worth the scramble. They didn’t have much left but what we tried was enough to get us hooked. So soft and fluffy they melted in your mouth. So many varieties to choose from it’s so hard to pick one. The blueberry and apple were to die for. I also have to say I can’t drink my coffee without lots of cream and sugar but theirs was so good we drank it black. This is a go out of your way stop definitely.

Seeing how I am close by and visit semi-often I figure I should follow up with a more recent review. Neil’s Donuts always has fantastic customer service no matter how busy they get and I love their coffee. There’s no denying their donuts are very good, and leaps and bounds above places like Dunkin’ Donuts in size, frshhness and taste.
My sons especially like their sandwiches whether it’s on a croissant, bagel for a roll. Their sandwiches are always delicious and not at all fake tasting like most drive through breakfasts. I think we’re lucky to have Neil’s Donuts in Middletown.

Neils Donuts is an exceptional place to get all kinds of tasty goods. I had the sausage egg and cheese on a croissant and it was really good! I also have tried the donuts, which are very soft and fluffy. The various flavors of donuts give you plenty of variety.
The coffee rolls are HUGE and so delicious. The glazed or cinnamon are both great options, can’t go wrong with either one. They are also so soft and baked to perfection, I enjoyed it so much.
The staff is really nice and they hustle to get you what you need. I do feel bad though, as it can get busy in there which leads to the building being a little hot, sticky, humid. I appreciate the staff and will continue coming back for the great products. Highly recommended for lovers of donuts, breakfast sandwiches and other tasty products!

When you find a place that has vegan donuts, you have to stop. They had a variety of vegan donuts. Most places just have one or two but not Neil’s – they had over five different varieties. And let me tell you the key lime vegan donut is absolutely a must have.
