I had dinner with a large group of skiers and I have to give a Big Shout Out to the staff: Leta, Orion, and Ellie! They were attentive and accommodating. Their service along with their fun personalities made for an extra fun evening. The food was very good! Love the BBQ! We will be back. Midwest Skiers

I cannot recommend this this time. The food was almost inedible. Our stomachs hurt from the little we ate. We usually like this restaurant and overall have had a good experience. This one was below the mark, as an understatement. These are fixable process problems! So fix them, please! We need this place around.

Our Waitress Ashley is amazing very cheerful and on the spot with service. My wife had the Key Lime Pie cocktail she says it was sooooo delicious. As always the brisket was 5 stars. if you’ve never been here you’re missing out

I’ve known Neighbor’s BBQ since their previous location, that was 4 miles south of Peyla on H-169. I’ve came to make an honest review about this restaurant that is now located in the Giants ridge area and apart of the lodge.
SERVICE: [ , !] I came here on a Saturday evening, 2-3 hours before closing and there was one waiter who was “rushing around”, getting orders from multiple tables and she had a positive mood towards us and others. It seemed kind of stressful for her and how much people were actually eating as well.
FOOD: [ ’ , .] I ordered the “Neighbor’s House burger” for around $15.00 (and chose well done for the cooking.) And the burger wasn’t too bad as it didn’t taste old or undercooked, but the patty meat was cooked as how it should be. The burger is like a 6-7/10 if you’ve had other burgers in your life. Also the fries weren’t crispy enough but still edible.
ATMOSPHERE: [ !] The restaurant has the fitting setting for the “Giant’s ridge” look, and that’s good. BUT! It was hot inside (80°F and higher for feeling) and I heard multiple guests complain about how hot is it too.
OVERALL: I would recommend if the heat wasn’t an issue here but I hope they’ll take it into consideration of making this place cool and not hot.

We stayed at Giants Ridge for a family ski weekend and dined at both the Burnt Onion and Neighbors BBQ. Burnt onion was great, they have limited seating but good food and drink variety at an appropriate price. We dined at neighbors on our second night and it was a disaster. 2+ hours to get our food basically consumed the entire evening. Kids never made it to the pool. We wouldn’t recommend unless you have an excessive amount of time to burn.

Stopped in for lunch on Valentines Day after the sauna haus. Very disappointing! One bartender, very overwhelmed, and it was not that busy. It took him 15 minutes just to greet us and then he forgot our drink order and had to come back. Food took 45 min before I went to ask what was going on. Spoke with the owner, as we live local and have had similar experiences every time we are there, to which he said he only has one server on because its unpredictable but ITS A SATURDAY, valentines, nice weather…come on! It would have been fine if his one server was good but he was too busy taking shots with the other server that eventually showed up. Not a good look!

Went to the Neighbors at the Ridge last night. The greeter handed us menus and silverware and told us to sit “where ever”. Took a long time to be waited on considering only two other tables had customers. The orders when arrived were not correct. They did not have milk, pulled chicken or any dessert. Quality of the food was average at best. This is our second and last attempt at dining at this establishment.

Worst ribs right in line with Famous Dave’s. Cheap cuts, very fatty. Just disgusting. Not understanding the hype that’s for sure. Definitely not ever ordering ribs there again. These picks were from 2 ribs pieces I took home.

Unquestionably, the best barbecue in Minnesota. The brisket stacker is unreal. It’s possibly the best brisket sandwich in the entire United States (not question MN). This is agreed by 11 of my friends I’m with. The only problem with this restaurant is they haven’t entered more national competitions to prove it to others.
Aside from that, the employees and wait staff are great. We had an excellent time and can’t wait to come back.

Came for “smashburger” Thursday. I ordered a double. What I got were 2 over-cooked dry pucks that were a third of the size of the bun. Either they don’t know what a real smashburger is, or the cook couldn’t be bothered to make it the right way.
Yet another sub par restaurant on the range
