Authentic and lovely. Served by a sweet auntie and left full. Menu is has everything you’re looking for. We had oxtail and jerk chicken both plates loaded with rice and cabbage packed in flavor. Beverages are authentic and lots to pick from. Delicious. We will be back.

Alright, let me start off by saying I’m young and white and haven’t had much food from other cultures, but personally, I LOVE the food here!

Previously I got the curry chicken (as seen in the picture) and this time I got the jerk chicken (forgot to take a picture before eating it, whoops). Both times I’ve been given enough food easily food 3 meals, especially since I get a 2 or 3 beef patties as well. I wind up splitting the meals up and putting a beef patty with each actually and it works out great!

Now I like the chicken, though the curry is a little bland and the jerk just tasted a bit hot (but a bit more flavor than the curry one), and the rice with beans is good too. Honestly the star of the show in my opinion is the cabbage though. I don’t know what they do to it, but it’s amazing and this time I asked for an extra helping of it because it’s so good! The beef patties are amazing too, though I’ve only ever had them two other times in my life. These are better than the other two though!

Next time I go in, I’ll try some of the other food, I want to keep getting experience with the flavors, but being a big nervous I started with the two chicken dishes.

Another thing to note though, both times I went in, the wait took quite a while. It’s just an older couple running the place themselves I believe and it seems like only one of them are there at a time. Took me 20 minutes for my food. But both people were very sweet and friendly and the customers were friendly as well. I feel good going in there and come out feeling happy, which is better than I can say for most places.

So my advice going in; expect to wait for your food, but you’ll get big portions for the price, and the best things are the cabbage and beef patties!

Grab a beef patty if you are in a hurry and need a quick bite. Get there early because they only make so many per day. When they are gone they are gone. Beefy Crispy Savory Delicious. A perfect ratio. I’ve also had the goat curry which was equally good. I’ll be back to try more things on the menu.

This place is a hidden gem in Junction City. Me and my gf split a jerk chicken portion for lunch and left full because the portion sizes very generous. We were very happy to find delicious homemade Jamaican food in the middle of Kansas. The seasoning was perfect for us, but if you’re used to authentic Jamaican you might want it a little spicier. The rice and cabbage were delicious as well! If I’m ever in this area again I will definitely stop here.

My first time having jerk chicken and I wasn’t disappointed. It was wonderfully flavorful and just enough spicy hot to live up to its reputation without being overpowering. The sides of cabbage and rice with beans were noteworthy too. Why did we wait over a year after moving here to eat here?!

The food here is so delicious. I ordered the roast beef, and my wife had the goat curry. Great flavor, and so tender and juicy. Rice and cabbage was really good also. Will definitely be back.

This place is completely disgusting. I try to support a fellow Jamaican and small businesses around the area but this is complete terrible. For the year I’ve been in Kansas, everything on the menu is nasty. I got burnt curry goat, the curry taste like the boiled all the meat in water and add curry powder with salt and pepper to taste. The oxtail has no flavor and the “jerk pork” looks boiled. I gave this nasty place too much chances. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Absolutely outstanding! The vibrant flavors, fresh ingredients, and authentic Caribbean spices made every dish a delight. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the plantains were crispy and sweet. Friendly staff and a warm, tropical ambiance made the dining experience unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone craving an island escape through food!

As a Jamaican it pains me to write a negative review against a fellow Jamaican…. but this is an abomination against my country’s cuisine. No way should this be served as a representation of Jamaican food. No sah! The curry is lightskin and runny with NO FLAVOR!! Taste like I’m drinking old soup water. It’s like they boil plain chicken and sprinkled some curry in it for decoration. It’s disgusting!! And how can a Jamaican restaurant mess up rice&peas,???? That’s our specialty! The cabbage was literally the only thing I ate and threw the rest in the garbage. So I paid $12.07 for a half of cup of cabbage. If you’re in the junction City area, go on the “foodie” Facebook page and look elsewhere for authentic Jamaican food, because this isn’t it. I suggest either hire a cook, change the name of the restaurant or shut this place down. It’s embarrassing.
