Modest Turkish grocery & counter-serve eatery featuring gyros, kebabs & other classic dishes.

This Turkish grocery store was a decent find. The place had a good selection of traditional Turkish ingredients, snacks, and fresh items that are sometimes hard to find elsewhere. I especially liked the prepared foods—they were flavorful and clearly made with care. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the experience better. Prices were reasonable for specialty items. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for authentic Turkish groceries and tasty ready-to-eat food.

Good place to grab and go but inside seating is available. Order ahead of time via apps or call in.

I have never tried Turkish food but it was awesome. This is a self service location you place order up front and when ready they call you for pick up. We ordered the beef momo ( small sized momo with yogurt and chilli oil) and it was good. Their Hummus and Baba ganouch was the best I have ever tried and a must have. Warning they use very little to no salt so add as per your taste. We also ordered the beef and lamb mix kebabs and that was the high light of our evening. The kebabs melts in your mouth and most important no smell. The chicken dish we order was a miss and I would not recommend anyone to order as it was bland. They offered us their special dessert of Bashbusha and Kunafa and I must compliment them it was really really good. I will be returning soon with an empty stomach. Cheers

Nazar is hands down one of my favorite Turkish spots in NY! It’s both a restaurant and grocery store in one location, which is super convenient. My go-to is the mix grill—it’s packed with all their delicious meats like lamb chop, Adana kebab, and kofte. And the white rice? I could eat that by itself—it’s that good!
They offer complimentary tea, which is perfect for winter days. After dining, you pay at the grocery cashier, which makes the whole experience unique. Their lamacun is the best I’ve had in NY, freshly baked and worth the 7-10 minute wait. I still need to try their popular mix appetizers, but the specials like lentil soup and cheesy creamy chicken are top-notch. The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome.
Plenty of seating, amazing food, and great service—definitely recommend!

Very disappointed with the experience. The person taking the order had no patience and rushed me while I was trying to decide. I ordered the beef kebab and lamb kebab — both had no flavor and were not fully cooked. Definitely not coming back….

Love this place. The Ayran doogh, the mezze dip platter and their fresh bread are so delicious. Staff is hardworking and kind. Clean atmosphere. I love the lebne dip, babaganoush, Esme salad, and eggplant dip platter that comes with their fresh bread. The kebabs are also good. Highly recommend this place!

Go to turkish place. Its not fancy but the food is always great. Recently going there much more in mornings as kids love the breakfast omelettes that are made through 11am. The Kuneffe is always a great choice as its baked fresh. Store next door is also great.

My recent experience at this restaurant was unfortunately very disappointing.
From the moment I arrived, the cashier’s attitude was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome. When I finally received my food, it was served cold, which was extremely frustrating. I brought the issue to the staff’s attention, hoping it would be handled professionally, but instead I was met with more attitude rather than a solution.
It’s disheartening to spend your time and money on a meal that doesn’t meet basic standards of service and quality. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is amazing. The Turkish foods are authentic and delicious. At 1st I wasn’t too sure what to get, but the guy behind the counter gave me suggestions and also gave me some samples to try. He said the gyros are very popular, but when I was there, they were already sold out. I got the mix pie, the lahmacun, and the adana kebab, and they were so tasty. The breads are fresh and very crispy and there’s also fresh Turkish teas which are on the house. And to top it off, there’s a supermarket next door which has a variety of Turkish items including fresh baklava. Fyi, the meats are all Hallal

This place was one of my most favorite to get Turkish food from. Over the years, the portions have changed and are so small. Also the food quality isn’t the same. I love visiting once in a while to get some Turkish snacks and sweets which are awesome. Do give it a try if you’re in the area and crave some delicious Turkish food.
