To start, was their mozzarella sticks, they were hot, and came with a side of red sauce. No complaints, they were delicious.
This is when they brought out samples of their sauces for us to try. They have Alabama BBQ, a ranchy, zesty sauce that went perfect with the chicken and mozzarella sticks. The traditional BBQ went well with the pulled pork. The Carolina BBQ was a mustard based sauce that would go well with any of the meats. And last is there Jalapeno BBQ sauce, I personally dont care for the extra spice, but my Girlfriend rated it a 4.
Now let’s talk about the main dish. My girlfriend and I got the “Naked” in the backyard platter, providing a good mix of options, and I would recomend it for anybody who can’t decide.
To start, the corn on the cob was quite flavorless, and seemed overcooked. The white chedder mashed potatoes were “Loaded” with pepper, which really masks any other flavors I was suppose to be tasting, but my sister would say otherwise. The mac n cheese was definitely delicious, but like the mashed potatoes, the serving size could be bumped up a bit.
Onto the MEATS! The ribs definitely needed the bbq sauce, our choice was the Carolina. The chicken was overcooked when we got it, but I bet it would taste better fresh. The pulled pork was probably the best, being my favorite of the options, and could stand without any sauce. The brisket has much to be desired. Getting it cold, definitely didn’t help bring out any flavors that may be present, will have to try again in the future.
Honestly, I was close to giving it a 4, because the service was fantastic, but so much of our platter was cold, it will just have to redeem itself next time
I ordered
Half rack ribs, brisket tacos, beans , Mac n cheese, corn on cobb
Pro’s-
The food was hot and Tender.
The portions were ok
Delivery was fast
Cons-
The corn was better than anything else .
The ribs were hot, (however) there was no flavor, seasoning I could taste, no sauce!!
The tacos.. just has three small silvers of brisket per taco.. nothing else.. no sauce , cheese or anything.. had a unfamiliar flavor.. not a smoked taste.
The Bean were actually good, would have loved to have some smoked , flavored ribs and brisket to go with them… The Beans had a few pieces of brisket in them.. ok.
Mac and cheese ….. Meh….. I can tell they were from a box.. which I can look past if the main entrees are on point!!..
Sad to say .. I will never spend 45 bucks on this place again… I’m not hard to please.. I just wasn’t feeling it’s…
The staff was friendly and most welcoming while I sat at the bar, had two beers, and used their wifi for work. Good wifi reception.
Overall a great experience!
Good specials and reasonably priced menu.
star. I do love the chocolate chip cookies. Update 1/28/2020,I have raised rating review to 4 stars. 2 out of 3 times since my original review the ribs have been delicious and falling off the bone! They do have a delicious bbq sundae with pulled pork, mac & cheese, bbq beans and mashed potatoes.
