My favorite sweet plantains have always come from the Columbia restaurant in St Petersburg Tampa and St Augustine. Nutui in Citrus County is well worth the trip or local delivery. 5

This place is absolutely amazing! Decided to stop by after visiting the state park nearby and was hungry for lunch. Every single dish we ordered delivered amazing flavor complexity and the ingredients were extremely upscale. They don’t have quite as much seating which is only outdoors but covered so we did have to share a table with someone else for a little bit while it was popular. Thankfully being a counter serve joint, the food is quick to eat and a lot of people were only using the tables to wait for takeout. Parking is limited but we were able to find a parking space without an issue.
The poke tuna and ceviche are a must try. Packed with flavor, portions are a little smaller than you might expect especially with the take out container presentation but it’s delicious and you won’t regret it. The cajun peel n eat shrimp is tasty albeit a little messy to eat. The lobster roll is fantastic and the fries both potato and sweet potato were super fresh and delicious. It’s amazing to see what the tiny kitchen could produce. There was quite a bit of wait since we came during the rush hour lunch time but it’s well worth the wait.

Cute little side of the road eatery. We had 3 (generous) grilled shrimp tacos that were pretty good. I liked the slaw they had on it. For some reason though I had some gritty bites in the tacos? Fries were good. We’d eat there again. Safe, clean, family friendly and outside dining. They have a little area for playing yard games and sitting around. Good place for a quick stop that’s not packed with people.

Hands down best meal I’ve had in the area so far. Scallop tacos were STUFFED with scallops and had such a great flavor, shrimp were huge, fresh and seasoned just right and the garlic hot wings were crispy, saucy and just out of this world. Even the margaritas made with wine were excellent. I want to try everything on the menu now so I’ll definitely be back, and soon. I’m not sure how many cooks they have but this guy KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING. We visited on Feb 4th.

Open air restaurant kinda like a food truck. The scallop basket was on point, the owner suggested blackened, which was the right choice. The shrimp tacos were also quite good, and the prices very reasonable. Give this place a try for a quick lunch or dinner after swimming with manatees!

I wish I could give the food 10 stars!! I had the shrimp tacos and the shrimp were so fresh I’m surprised they did wiggle off the plate.
Even better were the fried plantains— omg, served with a nice, slightly spicy sauce. Incredible.
The atmosphere is perfect, like being in Puerto Rico, you can def lose yourself here.
At another table they were exclaiming over the homemade ice cream, but I was too full. There must have been 15 or more shrimp on my tacos.
Please excuse the picture of the plantains, as you can see, they disappeared. I don’t know what happened.

Absolutely phenomenal! The ahi tuna here was hands down the best I’ve ever had – perfectly seared, fresh, and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp was just as impressive: crispy, golden, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce that really hit the spot. Portions were generous, and everything tasted like it came straight from the coast. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere made the whole experience even better. If you love seafood, this is a must-visit spot!

The shrimp tacos, coconut shrimp and kids Mac &cheese was absolutely delicious! The service was as good as you could ever ask for. Mary was probably the most accommodating server we have ever had. An over all great lunch experience and will be back!
