This place was a perfect stop after a cold December day in the Smoky Mountains.
The beer hit the spot, the giant pretzel was a win with the kids, and both the burger and fish were done really well and came out hot and flavorful!
Atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, exactly what you want after being out in the cold.
Bottom line: an easy recommendation if you’re looking to warm up with a solid meal and a good local beer.
Service: Superb

This place was highly recommended to us from a friend. The food did not disappoint. The chicken pot pie was phenomenal and the salmon was excellent. Brussel sprouts were just okay. Our waitress was very good, but another waitress seemed to be a bit snippy. Very good beer choices too. We went outside and listened to some pretty good live music after we ate also.

A very popular place with a usual modern tavern esthetic with plenty of Cherokee decor. The waitress assigned to our table was very friendly and willing to answer any questions we had.
As for the food, I had gotten the Chef’s Steak (with mashed potatoes and broccoli). The steak, though covered in cheese and onions, was quite spicy and cooked to a perfectly juicy medium rare.
As for dessert, the hot fudge was thick, warm and so rich with flavored while the ice cream that accompanied it complimented it just right.
Meanwhile, the crème brûlée was just right with its sugary, crunchy top layer as the bottom was soft, smooth and sweet.

The food is pretty good. It’s worth the price. They also give great portions to make up for the dollar amount. We ordered wings, cheese curds, fried mushrooms, pretzel for apps and all were really good. I personally ordered the meatloaf for my lunch and I found it to be very different but surprisingly great. The whiskey berry glaze was fantastic.

I think this place was great. I didn’t know what to expect in this fairly small town. But the beer was good, they have flights, the food was also good, and the place was welcoming and comfortable. They don’t have enough staff for all the tables, at least when we went, and the wait time was longer than we were told, and we almost left. But we did get a table and it was worth the wait before a long drive home. I’d gladly to back.

After a beautiful drive through The Great Smoky Mountains, I stopped at Native Brews Tap & Grill and couldn’t have picked a better spot to unwind. The atmosphere is lively and fun—just the right mix of mountain charm and modern comfort.

The beer selection is impressive, with plenty of local craft options on tap that really showcase the region’s flavors. If beer isn’t your thing, the cocktails and wine list won’t disappoint either—everything I tried was thoughtfully made and delicious.

I ordered a burger, and it was fantastic—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish, making me feel right at home.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through after a day exploring the Smokies, Native Brews Tap & Grill is a must-visit for great food, drinks, and good vibes.

Quaint “little” tavern in the heart of the shopping district of Cherokee. Staff were very friendly and food was delicious with huge portions! We sat outside to enjoy our first night in the mountains and the weather was perfect. I hesitated on the atmosphere rating because of the unruly kids present that night but didn’t want to ding the restaurant as it’s the responsibility of parents to keep their kids controlled, not the establishment’s. These kids were throwing the cornhole bags at each other and kicking the chess & connect four pieces all over the place with no regard to anyone else around them or care they might damage items that weren’t theirs. The parents completely disappeared into their drinks and phones which was appalling. I think it’s great the tavern offers a play space even though I personally think kids and alcohol do not mix, but parents can’t just assume others are watching their kids. I figured if the staff who walked by numerous times didn’t care then I shouldn’t either and enjoyed my delicious trout.

Love this place. If I’m near Cherokee, this is where me and my Team eat. I love the food, the atmosphere and the service. The pork skins are amazing with the fresh pimento cream cheese dip. I have eaten almost everything on the menu and have never had anything bad. If you are in the area it’s worth stopping in and seeing for yourself. I can’t wait to open our office in Cherokee, NC. It is in walking distance, like three minutes. They also have one in Bryson City, NC.

Take a drive and see what you’re missing. Great job Native Brew and Tap. Love this place.

The food and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic!!! We started off with the deviled eggs with bacon jam – a must try!! I ordered the bourbonzola burger and my partner ordered the peanut crusted trout which came with fried Brussels sprouts and garlic herb mashed potatoes. Absolutely divine!! For drink to pair, we ordered the sunrise vanilla cream (a cream ale that tastes just like a cream soda), a key lime martini, and the Angry Beaver Porter. Melissa was our server and she was friendly, attentive and a good vibe!! Next time we are in Cherokee Native Brews Tap & Grill is on our must-go to!
