When I get the urge for a burger, I think Nation’s! I prefer this location because the sandwiches are always well put together. Generous amounts of FRESH lettuce leaves,
several large tomato slices ( look like beefsteak variety) and onions- sometimes too much :-)- I just remove the excess. Fresh bun, tasty burger meat… The fries USED to be some of the best- they aren’t so special anymore. I saw them fries being lifted from the cooker, but they were not that yummy. I will pass on the fries next time.
The staff is always pleasant. The counter and restaurant is clean… The only drawback is sometimes there are homeless loitering (not so much lately)… I usually order online and pick on schedule.

Nations Castro Valley has been exceptional every breakfast visit I make I never leave disappointed! Valeria is great, always greets me as I walk in. Sometimes I call in my order or place in person and wait time is usually never too minimal! Coffee is hot and tasty definitely my go to breakfast over any BIG name competition!

Very disappointing experience. I ordered a burger and fries, which should take around 10–15 minutes, but the order came out in just three. It was clearly not fresh. When I asked for a new one, the staff refused. I asked for a refund, and they made me wait before saying the transaction was “completed” without explaining anything. Terrible service and poor communication. Not worth your time or money.

The entire visit was quick and easy. The food was hot, fresh, and exactly what I ordered, showing that the whole team was efficient. However, Aura truly stood out. She handled my order with remarkable speed and efficiency, ensuring everything was processed correctly and promptly.
What made the difference was her attitude—she was genuinely nice and helpful, taking a moment to offer a pleasant greeting and a smile, even during a busy rush. Her efficiency didn’t compromise her positive, welcoming demeanor. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of speed and excellent customer service.

We recently tried three different cake slices from this outlet and had a varied experience. The banana cream pie was delightful with its freshly made cream and perfectly balanced sweetness. The blueberry cheesecake, while good, had a bit too much runny jam on top and didn’t quite meet our expectations in terms of richness and density. As for the chocolate cream pie, it was just okay.

Had time off due to moving to Castro Valley. With having to unbox and clean our new home there was no time to cook breakfast. Got breakfast at Nations in Castro Valley. Everyone behind the counter was welcoming and friendly and even reminded me by name. I ordered breakfast every other morning. The food is so good and for a great price. After hours, enjoy my burrito after work tonight from nations I went there and ordered they had a bit of a wait no problem get home open it and it starts dripping through the paper oil starts to drip drippy everywhere shiny shimmery, oily oily burrito there’s no way I could even eat it and when I brought it back the worker with the name tag Valerie she said with a smirk on her face in broken English she said that’s the way they come and I know that is not the way anyone would eat any type of food. I went back to the restaurant was completely empty not one Customer and I can see why now they lost our business
