An awesome experience. Got to try some food I don’t normally get. Had the cheese and charcuterie board. So so good. Ordered a cup of seafood chowder which was exceptionally good. Then finished off with a really good hamburger. It all was really really good. Service was great. No waiting on a weekday. Highly recommend this place if you want a good sit down meal.

Wow what delicious breakfast! We stayed at the Hawthorne and went to Nathaniel’s for breakfast and everything was amazing. I ordered the poached eggs and toast and my fiancé ordered the French toast and we must not forget the tasty mimosas! What a way to start our day! The staff were very attentive and welcoming as well. That is one of the first things I notice everywhere I go and Nathaniel’s was top notch! Also if you love the historic factor Nathaniel’s is the place to go!

The scallops with risotto was AMAZING and we were very impressed with the large portion sizes for all of our meals. Live music was only okay, but a fun addition to the atmosphere. Not impressed with our server overall, especially because I ordered the cheapest Pinot Grigio and he brought and charged me for the most expensive instead ($5 difference) and then wasn’t around for me to order a second glass. The food was so good though, and the hotel is gorgeous, so would definitely come here again.

We started our day here and were quickly seated by the friendly staff. We both ordered the vegan scramble with a couple of juices. Despite it being fairly busy, the food and drinks came quickly. The scramble was absolutely delicious. It all tasted fresh and packed-full flavour. The freshly squeezed orange juice was great too. It was the perfect place to start our time exploring Salem.

Portions were very large, appetizer was generous, couldn’t finish dinner. sangria was delicious as was dessert. Staff was extremely nice, helpful w menu suggestions. Didn’t wait long for food. Price was likely average for the area and menu. Would recommend if in the area and don’t want to go into Boston

We came as there was a vegan breakfast option, but had no idea it would be as incredibly tasty as it was! Delicious. At the weekend they have a pianist playing live. Also worth checking out the history of the Bewitched cast staying there – by the loos on the wall.

Basically, could have made my dish at home.

Cons: I ordered the grilled salmon, the entire center was undercooked— and for a $34 plate I expected better. Maybe they were understaffed because we waited over thirty minutes for drinks and we had been seated at least an hour before we started seeing food at the table. Honestly a bit disappointed in the restaurant considering its in a historical hotel. Expected a bit more.

Pros: Drinks were great. Staff were extremely friendly.
