If you’re looking for an authentic Maine dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit! The seafood is absolutely stellar—fresh, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. From the lobster rolls to the clam chowder, each dish is a taste of coastal paradise. But what truly sets this place apart is its warm, welcoming atmosphere. There’s something special about sitting in a cozy spot where the old men gather at the bar, swapping stories and laughing like old friends. It’s the kind of place where you feel part of the community, and you can’t help but smile as you soak in the good vibes and even better food. A perfect spot for a casual, memorable meal with true Maine charm!

A cozy little neighborhood tavern with a small selection of draft and bottled beers. The menu was sandwiches, burgers, salads and some entrees. My fish tacos were good, but the side of rice that I ordered was a glutinous mess. DHs rueben was ok, but not grilled and only a smidge of sauerkraut

Great spot for a sandwich and a beer! If you are driving through Maine and need a place to stop for lunch then stop here and walk around the town!

This little spot hit the mark on our way through to Acadia. Black corned beef for the win. We got it in the form of a reuben and a sandwich with onions and horseradish. Fries were very well done for a bar. Would recommend.

We were trying to get to an event. The first place we went to said it would be an hour plus. Suggested the Narrows. We sat at the bar, they were busy but service was very good and food delicious. Will return

This is our go-to place anytime we’re near Waldoboro. It ain’t fancy, but the food is fresh and individually prepared. Our favorite is the Hachmeister’s Haddock (fried) sandwich; it’s lightly battered, served on a brioche bun and they can put pretty much anything you’d like on it. Their tartar sauce is homemade and delicious. Pair this with one of their wide variety of local microbrews and you have a great meal.
Skip Moody’s Diner; this is where the locals go.
