Such a great spot for family and the service is great! The patience they have while we choose what we want is impeccable.
It is expensive but WAY worth it. Make sure you come hungry and on an empty stomach! I swear we leave so full but still want more and most places we leave full and don’t want to go back for awhile! It’s truly that delicious! ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚♡ ︎
The AYCE price is advertised clearly, while the penalties for uneaten food are buried in very small fine print. In practice, it feels less like a real option and more like a trap, because you don’t fully understand the financial transaction until the bill arrives.
In a traditional all-you-can-eat buffet, you pay once. You’re not charged extra because you didn’t like how something tasted. Here, if you order something and decide you don’t enjoy it, you’re still billed for it. That runs counter to what most people reasonably expect when they see “all you can eat.”
Preventing waste is understandable. Charging customers for food they chose not to eat under an AYCE model, in my opinion, comes across as misleading and less transparent.
The food itself was okay, the waiter was very attentive but the pricing model leaves a bad impression. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re extremely cautious with ordering and fully aware of the catch.
Staff were polite and helpful. The restaurant was clean, with a nice vibe and decent background music.
**EDIT** THEY ARE IN BOISE/MERIDIAN/KUNA! How did I not know this?! I’m so happy I can get their ramen locally. If you haven’t tried them, you should…
However, I was not impressed with the service, particularly with the girl who was hosting/serving. She took way too long to come back to take our orders and food took longer than expected. She would check in frequently to the point where it just felt overwhelming, yet, by the time we finished our food, she didn’t bother to ask if we wanted the check or needed boxes. We were actually seated next to the checkout counter, and it’s like she forgot we were there.
Ramen was okay, but is it really worth it to come back for more? Eh. My daughter loves the sesame balls, but ours came back overly fried and burnt, she wouldn’t eat them. How do you burn sesame balls?? Boba was pretty good, I’ve had worse from the Boise location. I don’t often write bland or negative reviews, but it’s becoming more common that the younger generation clearly need more training in the service industry.
3 stars because I actually liked my boba drink and my spicy beef ramen was edible.
The disappointment was the spicy ramen. I got level one. The spice level was good. The flavor was unfortunately just really bland. The noodles are flavorless and the broth isn’t much better, you get a slight kick of spice but that’s it. The meat was gross. It did have flavor but it was off putting.
The ramen made me sick.
