The pizza was pretty much exactly what we were looking for. Great toppings used, crust was incredible.
We loved sitting next to the mural of SF. It felt like a nice local treat.
The music and lighting were soft, and everyone was talking at a very nice and low volume as a result. This was really nice and we immediately noticed it.
The dessert was not properly prepared, but I believe that was an error on the chefs my particular night (Tues Feb 10th). They purchase from what I understand to be a reputable Italian commercial dessert company (Bindi), but usually it’s supposed to be unpackaged and finished in the kitchen. Instead, it was served directly in the plastic container with no changes.
From the menu, we were looking forward to the chocolate garnish that was supposed to be added, which makes me think this was not a usual error to happen. I.e., they planned it as a dessert that would be properly served and finished.
We were planning a clean 5 stars before the dessert, but docked one on service for that.
Service was also really fast and attentive. After ordering the pizzas came out nice and quickly.
Overall it was a nice pizza experience and would definitely come back and try other pizzas.
Our party of 3 adults and 2 kids were all happy with our food.
The only small “issue” is that we tried most of their desserts and one of them (I forget which one) was just OK while the other 3 of 4 were fantastic.
The is true Napoletana style pizza and designed to be eaten fresh out of the oven. You can get it to go but you are degrading the experience. If you are looking for thick crust American style, this will not be a good fit.
Limited wine selection.
Only comment is that it could be used a tomato/mozzarella with lower moisture since the pizza had a little too much water when it was out of the oven.
There was some mix up on the vegetarian pizza i ordered (perhaps it was my mistake) but i felt the service of the place was quite top notch. The serving staff, i felt, was attentive and considerate. This vegetarian pizza i ordered was damn yummy and even the crust was filled with cheese. The crust with cheese tasted really nice. I was hesitant to get a pizza with crust also filled with cheese but it tasted so good that next time i am going to maybe order this same one.
I live a few miles away from Mountain View so that’s a bit of a bummer, it takes about 12-13 minutes to get to this place. Maybe i will move closer to this outlet 🙂
Overall, thank you, Napoletana Pizzeria. Stay this way, kind and considerate for the customer – churning out yummy pizzas. God bless.
The pasta red sauce is over salted, and there are still ice chunks in the bottom of the tiramisu.
