Nice space. Friendly, accommodating staff. Some great food too. Will have to give the Sunday Buffet a shot at some point.
Found this place when Ryan wanted Hush Puppies. They didn’t disappoint. Calamari was well received. Fish and Chips came with fresh Old Bay on the side. Chicken Tenders were good. Green beans were popular. Should have saved room for dessert. Recommend reservations on Sunday, as it looked pretty busy when we go there.

We went to the Nantucket Reef restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation. Overall, the food and service were very good, and we plan to make a return visit. The prices are comparable to similar type restaurants. The Seafood Cioppino was a standout and priced at $18.25. I noticed some small differences between the online menu prices and the actual prices when we were at the restaurant for lunch on Saturday. The one thing we missed out on was the lobster roll which we will try next time. It is market priced, and was $24.00 at the time of our visit. I’m usually not a big dessert fan; however, the bread pudding was delicious. It requires a 15 minute preparation time and was priced at $8.95.

Generally speaking, it is a very nice casual restaurant. But… all dishes seem to salty.
The lobster and spinach queso is my favorite and I often order it in a seafood restaurant. This time, it is creamy, but tooooooo salty.
The wicked mussels are fresh but… salty.
The crab cake tastes good, but very salty.
The Atlantic salmon is a good one. The salmon piece is big.
The beer batter cod tastes good, very tender.
The waitress who served was really nice.

Nantucket Reef is a pearl of Gaithersburg. The ambiance was very clean and nautical. The seafood was spot on. The Calamari was light and the sauce had some mellow heat to take it over the edge. We also asked for oysters rockefeller which was not on the menu and we’re accommodated. Max our waiter was fantastic. He was timely and attentive. The only drawback we had was that they started to close up shop around 10 which seemed a bit early. Would recommend this place to others.

Took my brother here for his birthday and it was delicious. Our order got mixed up buth our waitress and the manager took care of us right away. I was bummed that they didn’t have crab dip but the clam chowder and entrees made up for it. You MUST try the bread pudding. It takes a little while to make but it is worth it!

Again, Nantucket Reef hits it out of the ballpark. Service, amazing…our server always had a smile on his face while filling my mimosa . Brunch, Calamari amazing as always. Banana French toast… so amazingly good that you didn’t even need the syrup. Shrimp and grits were pretty good. As close to the South as I’m going to get. I love everything about this place

What a great restaurant. Great ambiance and great service. Food was impeccable, fresh and cooked perfectly.
Fresh Oysters, lobster roll, fried calamari, crab salad, and grilled salmon…. were all excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good new place.
