Tried going twice and first time they closed early, second time was a horrible disaster. Sat siwn and 20 min later they finally took our order. 15 min later the cook comes out and says that the prior shift didn’t clean the equipment properly and he had to shut everything down because food was sticking and asked if we minded waiting. We agreed.
10 min Waitress came out and said there was problems and said something completely different from what the cook said. Every person was served before us and the waitress started arguing and interrupting me when I tried to explain what the cook said. Waitress was extremely rude and wouldn’t let me speak.
I got irritated as did my daughter and we decided to leave. We don’t need a Waitress that argues with customers and constantly interrupts them when they try to explain what was told to us but the cook when it contradicted everything the Waitress was saying.
Atmosphere is not so great. Poor lighting and grungy walls. Looks like it has not been maintained for 20-30 years.
Stay away.

I have never in my life, ordered food that spoke to me as much as this. This is by far, bar none, the best food I have ever spent money on. The service was absolutely stellar, the cook and the waitress both made a point to ask how it was. I’ve never had fried cabbage and cornbread salad that were that close to my granny’s cooking. If you haven’t ate here yet, it would be worth a 2 hour drive.

I absolutely love Nanny’s Country restaurant! I’m a regular here because the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and I always leave satisfied. It has a wonderful family atmosphere, and they treat you like part of the family. The staff gets to know your name, which adds a personal touch to the dining experience. This place was great!!! Everyone that worked there was super nice and the food is definitely homemade. I got the chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and carrots, best chicken tenders ever. My husband got the chopped steak, pinto beans and Cole slaw. You could cut through the steak with a fork. The cornbread was some of the best ever. I can’t compliment this place enough! We will absolutely be back!!!

Found this place today. Was a great little place. Country cookin at its best. Me and my daughter and grandbaby. The waitress mashed up carrots for the baby. Which I thought nice. Food was great. Very affordable. Will be back.

The outside might worry you. The interior needs to be updated. However, the food makes up for all of that. The fried catfish was wonderful. Chicken casserole and meatloaf also was well received. I was glad to find this from a Google map search!
