This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but the portion sizes have been significantly reduced. There was very little rice and the chicken pieces were extremely small. For $15, the plate was mostly arugula with only a small amount of protein and rice.

This chicken was so tender and juicy!! Even though we got low spice seasonings (lemon & herb and mango & lime) they were still SO flavorful!! Highly recommend the rainbow bowl (the Portuguese rice is such a good touch). And if you want a more meaty meal (because the chicken that comes with the bowl isn’t the biggest), then try the rotisserie—some of the most flavorful and tenderest chicken!

I didn’t mind waiting a little longer than expected for the food, as I truly appreciate when meals are made fresh—I’d always rather wait for quality. However, after a short 12-minute drive home, I was disappointed to find that the tortilla of the Rainbow Wrap had become very soggy and unfortunately broke apart as I opened it.
I had taken a picture to document the issue, but I didn’t see an option on your platform to upload or submit a photo. On a positive note, the Caesar Wrap was, as always, absolutely delicious. We order it often and have consistently enjoyed it.
I was just looking to try something new with the Rainbow Wrap, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations this time. I wanted to bring it to your attention in case it helps with quality control in the future.

Recommended by a friend and now I want one in South Florida! So delicious and worth the 20 minutes to find decent parking in downtown Chicago . Great casual food. Order from your table and meals are brought to you. We wanted to go again the next day for lunch.

Wow. Blown away. We had our food in less than five minutes after ordering. The food was really flavorful and delicious. It’s a fusion of African and Portuguese food. The whole place is colorful. The dishes are even colorful! The iced tea (peach rooibos) was really amazing! I had the chicken thighs, and brussel sprouts. We also got the dessert Naughty Nata and that was yummy! The sprouts came with a special style ranch which I ended up getting more of. Very unexpected and I am just extremely pleased with everything from the food, to the service and decor. So far nothing else like it in the Chicago area.

FOOD: my skewers took too long even on non peak hours, and when it finally arrived it was BURNT.
VALUE: paid about $24 for two burnt skewers and about 11 French fries and a soda with questionable/low amounts of bubbles. Completely unacceptable.
And then, on my way out they made me pay $8 for 90 minutes of parking, even after validation.
I went to chipotle next day and got a whole meal for $10. It’s a 2.5x difference.
It’s sad but I won’t be going back to Nandos after this experience.

This place is solid and very affordable, considering the portion sizes and overall experience. It has a fast-casual vibe where you order at the counter, then grab your sauces/drinks and food before heading to the table. The servers are nice, and the food is definitely the highlight, especially the dishes with chicken—those flavors really stand out.

I had a horrifying experience on 12/12/24. I ordered a Peri chicken bowl from this location and while eating halfway through the meal, I discovered a really huge bug at the bottom of my bowl. I am very upset because I ate most of the food before realizing there was a bug in it. The bug literally started jumping around in my food the moment I tried to hurry up and put the top back on it. I would not recommend eating at Nando’s.

Since I was at work, I had to try them for the first time through uber eats. I wasn’t disappointed one bit. The food came out great. I loved the mashed potatoes most. The chicken was pretty juicy actually. Let’s not neglect the garlic bread. Boy was that good. I will definitely be back.
