We had such an awesome time at Nando’s at Rio on our recent visit! The food was incredible — the chicken was unbelievably juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We ordered the large platter, and it was a total hit! The fries were super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly addictive. And those sauces… wow! So tasty and full of flavor!
The service was fast, friendly, and efficient, and the whole place was clean, cozy, and welcoming. We genuinely enjoyed every moment and every bite. Can’t wait to go back — highly, highly recommend!

Great food, great people. Got us better coke then we ordered (mexican coke on top)!. The food was also BOMBB, spicy sweet chicken wrap YUMMMM and mac w fries YUMMMM, and the spicy chicken sandwich YUMM . They are also so sweet they got us a extra fries shoutout to the awesome staff here, its the only Nandos i like in the area.

I never thought to write any bad reviews, but an absolutely disappointing experience. I came to dine in a couple days ago but from the moment I walked in I wasn’t even greeted at all. The service overall felt very unorganized and careless. The most surprising thing is how if you’re dining in it’s like you have to do everything yourself, no utensils set anywhere and not even given water. Another Nandos in Rockville pike that i went to had no issues, provided water, utensils, and everything was so much more organized so coming here felt very unreasonable.
The food looked good at first until the more horrendous part was finding HAIR IN MY FOOD. When bringing this up to the manager (Black, short hair, working the floor), showed absolutely no concern or accountability. He barely responded, didn’t apologize , and continued to LIE by saying none of the cooks or staff of his that were working had hair. This was clearly untrue, as seeing every single employee, including the cooks that all had hair. Instead of owning up and addressing the issue he gave me an attitude making me feel like the problem was somehow my fault.
This kind of response is very unacceptable. Finding hair in my food was already bad, but being lied to afterwards makes this even worse. Very poor service, no professionalism, and no respect for customers.

I was very disappointed with my order. First I was given Brussel sprouts with ranch when I asked the cashier twice for plain Brussel sprouts. I was given 10 chicken wings when I paid for 12. Some of the wings were uncooked and I had to come back home and rebake them in my oven. Thankfully when I went back to return the ranchy Brussel sprouts, they made gave me the right one. The customer service and lack of attention to detail was very disappointing.

3/8/26: It took 35+ minutes for our food to come out, there were only 3 people in our party. Two people ordered half chickens and they weren’t fully cooked but we were tired of waiting so didn’t send back the chicken and ate what we could. Food quality and wait times need massive improvement!

Had a fantastic experience at Nando’s trying the Peri Mac power bowl. Despite the busy crowd, the server was exceptional – friendly and attentive. The bowl itself was a delightful surprise with red peppers and avocado adding a unique twist. Even though I’m not a fan of corn, the grilled corn in this dish won me over. The portion size was satisfying, leaving me full and happy.
Highly recommend, especially with a drizzle of garlic sauce – it takes it to another level!

I’ve been coming here ever since it’s opened and have seen it go from good to bad back to alright. The final straw was last month when I ordered chicken livers for take out on a busy night and found a piece of porcelain in my food when I heard a crunch when I was chewing. I was eating out of their paper takeout container with a plastic fork.
Manager said he would give me a refund but he hasn’t gotten back to me. Either way this is a PSA regardless
