I have been going here almost every week since Aug 2025
Today (December 2025) I confirmed what has been said about the gentleman who puts more food in the togo box.
I was there for lunch today and after he got the box to pay, He took the box and checked how much add on was there, and he topped it off.
Again, I am surprised to see how many people go here for lunch. Good portions, cheap, tasty and clean.
Original review:
This place is a favorite of many customers and businesses near by.
Good food
Good service
Vending machine
Limited seating inside
Plenty of seats outside with shade umbrellas.
Prices have gone just a little up. But its still cheaper than anything nowadays.
2 toppings for 15$ is a very good deal.
1 topping on rice or noodles is a couple of bucks less.

I have been coming here for years. When I’m craving my mom’s food I will come here. Never disappointed. The food is always great and consistent. My go to is the sisig and the pork BBQ.

What an appropriate name for this place because it really is like coming home to Nanay’s (Mom’s) home cooking. Authentic Filipino BBQ flavor along with other menu items but do come early for more selection. Price is right, under $10 bucks for large servings. Excellent lunch spot, highly recommend!

A small eatery with a big taste. Looking for a real filipino bbq taste? This is it. Seasoned to perfection and grille with love brings a flavor to remember. My favorite is the bbq pork with rice, pansit and beef stew. Fast service, friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Good eating.

Their chicken adobo is delicious. I was sad that their pancit wasn’t authentic and instead it was spaghetti noodles, more like chow mein.

Really good eat for take out food. Kinda like the mom & pop shop vibe with good portion size and reasonable price in SD.

Inflation be hitting everyone. $16 for rice, 3 pcs chicken and half a scoop of pork adobo. Didn’t have enough sauce to mix with the rice. Oof

This is a hole in the wall. Line up and get your food and take it out to the outdoor public seating. They have an eclectic mix of (I want to say) Filipino barbecued pork, barbecue, chicken adobo, curry chicken, spicy chicken, some kind of sausage, fried rice, plain rice, chow mein. The barbecue pork is so expletive delicious! It has a sweet and charred flavor.

Very good, maybe even, possibly the best bbq from nanay. Fairly small/ narrow place and the line can go out the door, but it moves quick. Nice seating out the other exit of the place. Good selection of Filipino food. Thanks nanay.
