The servers are friendly & the guests feel welcome. The food is southern, soulful, & delicious. The portion size is good. Usually the menu is the same daily ( choice of meats (baked & fried chicken, pork chops, hamburger steak), vegetables, choice of potatoes, mac & cheese, deviled eggs, corn bread, banana pudding (a favorite with customers), pound cake, choice of beverage. The restaurant is closed on Wednesday & Saturday.

A delicious experience! Just like at ( you guessed it) Nana’s or Na Nan’s or Ma Maw’s. Served hot! Almost right from the stove top or oven. (Make sure you browse the pictures on the website.) Today I had the porkchop as my protein, yams ( beta carotene), hot water corn bread and a heaping hot serving of collard greens. Vitamin A! Perfect!
Because Nana cooks everything fresh, you may want to phone ahead or order through DoorDash (I’ve seen several drivers come in for pick-up.) to cut down on your wait time. Also, you may want to order an extra meat or cornbread or drink because you actually get enough food for two meals! For example, today I ate a filling lunch (pork chop, yams, collards, canned drink) and had enough left over for an enjoyable veggie plate dinner (collards, yams, cornbread) with bottled water I had at home! Two very delicious, nutritous, and cost effective meals! Perfect!

It was our 1st time there. When we walked in there was at least 3 people that worked there sitting near the door. No one greeted us. No one that worked there explained the ordering process which is fill out a slip of paper with your food choices on it. Another customer explained it to us. Once we got our food no one came to our table to check to see if everything was alright and if we needed drink refills or anything. The food was delicious the portions was enough and the price was reasonable. Need lots of customer service training!

I wish I had known about this place years ago! Every thing was seasoned to perfection. Service was stellar and the restaurant was super clean. It’s a little jewel in Ruston. I cant wait to try something different when I’m in town again.

The food here was super delicious. The atmosphere is also very stellar. The service was also exceptional. The wait was pretty long but it was very worth it since the food was super good. One of the best soulfoods I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place if you are around the area.

The best plate in town, the food here is absolute ambrosia. Nana’s spices so that it enhances the flavors without overwhelming. The portions I’ve received are generous, always hot and freshly cooked. I am a big fan of hot water bread and theirs is so very good and to top all that off, the banana pudding, it is exquisite, I think the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Today Nana’s only served takeout and no dine in but I’ll take that any day.

Just the name caught my attention, I mean who doesn’t love soul food! This is like being served by your grandma with love! The food melted in your mouth and every bite was delicious! We arrived a little late in the day so several items were sold out but no matter what you get I’m sure it will be yummy! Highly recommend!
