Cosy place, make sure to call and make a reservation. Every person working there was very friendly and able to answer questions about the menu. We had Caesar salad- it was tasty nothing special though. Wife had chicken cordon bleu and it was really good, she loved it, I had a couple bites it was delicious. I ordered the filet with twice baked potato and enjoyed every bite. Cooked perfectly. Wrapped up with the dessert called avalanche. Delicious. We will be back again soon.

Cookhouse bistro is a historical building dating back to 1830, turned into a bar, then barber shop and general store, then restaurant.
The building itself has a lovely decor bringing you back in time whilst eating here. The toilets have a swing door to enter male/female toilets, the seatings are lovely wooden chairs and the menus are classic.
The atmosphere gives an old 1800 hundreds vibe and the food compliments this time frame.
The food was generously sized and the prices are very affordable. The ratio to sauce and meal was perfect and the waitress was very understanding about allergens and other dietary requirements.
The menu itself has a small choice selection which makes it extremely easy to order unlike big chains where you have 25+ options and sit there for 20 minutes deciding what you want to eat.
The desert was devilishly delicious and fixed my sweet fix. I had the mint chocolate ice cream and my family has the cobbler and they both came in large glasses filled to the top.
Overall, I would highly recommend visiting here when passing through or directly coming here if you want a delicious meal.

The Cookhouse Bistro is a hidden gem in the heart of Flamborough. I have been here many times and the experience is always top notch. Must try is the Garlic Cheese loaf app. Tonight I had the chicken puff pie and it was amazing. So flaky and perfect for a cold night. Amazing friendly, casual service.
I don’t recommend for children. This is an adult experience. It’s a small dining space and you need reservations to avoid disappointment.

Nothing but great things to say. Food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch. Their menu has plenty of options for some good comfort food. The flavours are truly amazing and made in-house. Service is incredibly friendly and speedy. Any visit here will be well worth it!

I don’t want to give a good review because a good review will make it busier but it was EXCELLENT!! The steak was awesome and amazing with mushrooms and onions (paid extra but soooooo worth it) The staff is exceptional and they followed all the Covid-19 requirements. We will be back!!! ❤❤

One of the worst meals I have ever had. Stopped by as it was on our way and had a great rating on Google and we were very disappointed. I ordered a ‘hot turkey sandwich’ and got a mess on a plate. Soggy wet toast, plain turkey, nothing in the ‘sandwich’. Horrible. Would not recommend. One extra star for the kind server, though I did show her the dish and nothing was done

A cozy restaurant in a small town. Small menu featuring steaks. Interesting unique desserts. I had salmon fillet with spinach cream cheese and cheesecake wrapped in phyllo which tasted pretty good.

Went there for lunch again, was amazed how busy it was. I liked the small town feeling and the food was great. It is a classic old town feeling. It feels fancy but casual at the same time.
