Visiting Simpsonville was at a loss when it came to where we would eat lunch. But after googling I found this restaurant. A hidden gem in a small town Nana’s kitchen! Once I read the story of how it all begin, I knew this is where we would eat! Found a quaint small takeout restaurant. The owner took our order after waiting in line. Seeing people leaving with bags and smiles, Let me know that we found the right place! I loved that the kids menu was at kids level. They could make their choices easily. The owner took our order after waiting in line & Recommended the Pork Chop. That was a great choice. Only three small tables & stools at a bar did not give a lot of space but Tony explained they only planned for take out when they opened for business. That explained why when I asked for the restroom to wash my hands, there was not one. I have never eaten at an establishment that did not have a restroom but our world changed since the pandemic so I guess I will have to adjust. During busy turnover we did get a table but had to clean it ourselves. A star was lost for atmosphere because of no bathroom & no sanitizer on each table to make up for that lack. Thankfully Publix had a clean bathroom & only a block away so we rushed there after getting a Pork Chop dinner to go!! The food was good , hot & fresh. Staff was friendly & very welcoming. Felt like home.

If you’re looking for fresh great fulfilling southern food then this is the place to go! They have many selections and delicious homemade desserts. I ordered the jumbo wing plate w/ two sides and a drink during lunch hrs and it was great!

Had the fried whiting, greens and Mac and cheese with a side of potato salad, the fish was decent though seasoned it could’ve used more, the greens had almost no flavor, the Mac and cheese wasn’t cheesey and was lacking all the way around, they charged $3 for a very small “taste” of potato salad and it tasted like pickle juice, just tart! The lemon blueberry cookie was good but the dessert menu was very small, coming from the city I had hoped the south would’ve presented and represented “Soul Food” a lot better but sadly I was extremely disappointed, I give them 2 stars for effort tho.

Nana’s kitchen has some of the best southern food I have ever had. The fried chicken here is so delicious and juicy. The mac and cheese, fried okra, and collard greens were all great sides. The food never disappoints. This was our third time eating here and we will continue coming here. The staff is always friendly and treats everyone like family. I heard the gentleman at the front tell a customer that he never worked a day in his life since he started at Nana’s. The passion and love for their food is in every bite.

Absolutely incredible! The Mac and cheese is incredible! Onion rings were super flavorful and the proportion of onion to batter was great. And the chicken!!! My gosh! Perfectly crispy and so moist! The rub was fantastic. Will be ordering again!

I pass by here everyday on the way to work and never stopped to eat. Well on my lunch break today I decided to drive there for lunch. Was not disappointed. Couldn’t eat it all so I have some for later. They serve breakfast so will try that one day as well. But I will be definitely going back. When I got back to work a some coworkers came to me saying it smells and looks good so I definitely shared where to go. SHARING IS CARING !❤

The food is so fye!!!! So I moved here from Chicago and I can’t cook and all the other restaurants out here have been horrible! But ma’am I’m never going to unbig my back because I keep eating here!!! IT’S SOOO GOOD!!! That sweet potato cobbler was EVERYTHING!!!! I didn’t even know what that was… but it didn’t disappoint! Miss mamas gone have all my money until I finally learn how to cook.
