Nana’s new location is fantastic! The food is really good, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was also great; everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

Stopped in Nana’s for lunch and had pleasant experience. There isn’t table service at this location and have to order at the front even when dining in. There was plenty of enticing options to choose from so the cashier patiently waited for us to decide on what to order for our light lunch. Food came out quick, hot and delicious…the only bug-a-boo would have been that the soup dumplings had more filling but otherwise we enjoyed them none the less. Definitely worth checking out.

The pan fried dumplings dough has really good texture crispy and chewy at the same time which I love however the filling is kinda bland. Same for the shumai.

This place has that fast casual vibe where they just want you to hurry up eat and leave so other customers can sit down. We heard some staff yelling at each other. Hopefully nobody was getting in the cook’s way because I can relate to that. The food itself was phenomenal. Be aware that when eating many other cultures foods that there may be many small bones. I don’t mind this and find it very enjoyable and comforting. My companion however didn’t like the short ribs or chicken feet (many don’t like chicken feet.) I found them both fantastic especially the short ribs. The soup dumplings were also delicious…kinda like little bit sized pot pies would be one way to describe it. I think the place is a little pricey for dim sum and I wish I could order many more options and not such large options as they have but if money isn’t an object then the food is great.

Best dim sum we’ve had since we moved to Colorado. Highly recommend it. High points for us were the shrimp dim sum and the sesame balls. Green tea mochi also very tasty.

As someone who loves to watch that intricate ballet of an efficient kitchen, this restaurant is a joy. After you place your order, watch at the kitchen window to see orders being prepared. The kitchen is well-run and tidy. We enjoyed the tangy chicken bites and the vegetable dumplings on this visit. There is a lot of pride in the food coming out of this kitchen and it really shows. Can’t wait for a return visit. Thanks to the kitchen staff and front of the house staff – – good job!

Nana’s was delicious! We had several rounds of dumplings and side dishes. For about three guys I think we spent about 80-90 bucks, but we left stuffed!!! Loved the place so much and hoping that they will continue to make some banging dumplings for years to come!

They have the best soup dumplings in Boulder now. Better than Mason’s! I was such a Mason’s fan as a decent Xiao long bao is hard to find in the caucasio-centric Boulder. Nana’s has a much better dumpling. Fresh made on site. Atmosphere is meh, tight and seems an afterthought.

The mark of a good soup dumplings is to have an flexible, thin and soft skin surrounding a generous amount of meat and savory soup. They nailed it.

I credit the middle aged Chinese chefs in the back. They are hard to come by and can’t be replaced easily.

Their chili crisp was a bit disappointing and lacked both heat and chilis.

The lo mein was passable but I wouldn’t order it again.

The tiny little pan fried dumplings were novel and tasty.

I will be a regular even with their short comings, still the best dumplings in town.

Wonderful soup dumplings. Great signature bao. Vegetable lo mein was good.

Wish we could have eaten outside without needing take out. A bit wasteful.

The dumplings here at Nana’s on the Hill in Boulder right next to the old Tulagi’s are like little pillows of perfection.

After ordering, you are greeted by a stunning oversized painted wall mural by Casey Kawaguchi and a little viewing window you can even peek right into the kitchen watch them make the dumplings fresh daily by hand, where they carefully weigh the ingredients to ensure they are just right each time and never burst.

The result is perfectly moist and spongy dumplings and buns including their super fluffy and tasty Signature Bao as well as the Pan Fried dumplings.

My favorite was the 6pc pork Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings which are eaten by carefully placing your spoon underneath to savor any soup that may spill out as you bite into them. They come out in a bamboo steamer and are sure to impress.

I fell in love with soup dumplings when I lived in NYC and frequented Joe’s Ginger both Chinatown and midtown. They are hard to find in Colorado outside of Aurora. I’ve also traveled throughout Asia including China, Japan and Thailand so I’ve been to authentic dumpling restaurants to compare.

Nana’s egg drop soup is a very generous portion and the perfect comfort food. I also went out on a limb and ordered something I’ve never tried before, the beef pancake roll which includes some lettuce and cucumber for a nice little crunch. Definitely something I’d order again for lunch especially as the weather gets warmer.

My friend ordered the Szechuan Chicken which has a bit of a kick for those who like it spicy. The portions were good and the meat never dry.

The boba milk tea comes in a sturdy, generous takeaway container and was perfectly cooked tapioca pearls and not too chewy like some other places can be. The waiter said they don’t use any artificial ingredients which I appreciate. They also have a few other flavors to choose from.

Rumor has it Nana’s is run in part by the same family (a brother of one of) the former Five Spice owners, which makes sense because I used to order the best Chinese from their 30th St. location probably twice a month at least (ok maybe once a week if I’m being honest).

I noticed they have another location in Denver on Tejon that even has honey chicken feet and truffle soup dumplings on the menu. I might have to make a special trip.
