Small family business based on great food and service. The delicatessen is pretty fab with quality products. Kim and Fran produce and serve some fine foods!! The store is a great size. Most foods seem to be takeout, there are a few tables inside. This is for information only. I would have taken my order to my car to eat. Wonderful food. You feel like a friend by the time you leave.

Stopped here on the way to Santa Fe from Denver. Loved the homey feel- even got some bibs to protect our clothes! Small kitchen and each order has lots of attention. They were very careful of gluten free. Unfortunately, the meatballs and sausage are not gluten free but the chicken was yummy. I enjoyed the tomato sauce. And the GF sliced bread was yummy too! I appreciated that they clearly labeled the GF box. They also had super good macaroons.

If you are in the area and you would like some home cooked Italian food made with love by multiple generations of Italians, this is the place for you. It is a small restaurant and Italian grocery. We enjoyed our meal

So glad we stopped here. Heard good reviews. thought we’d check it out ourselves.
Best Italian food we’ve ever had. Staff was outstanding.meal came with garlic bread and fresh salad that was so crisp. Visiting here for two months and will definitely return.❤️

Food was wonderful. Service was ok. Didn’t appreciate the plastic cutlery and disposable plates. Personally, I would prefer to pay a little more and not put extra plastic into landfill. But, as I went there for the food and it was excellent Italian cuisine, Nana and Nano’s scrapes four stars.

I have never had pasta this good. Hands down in the top 5 restaurants in the Trinidad area, you MUST try it

The food is absolutely astounding, the place itself only has a few tables so getting your food to go is a good idea. We waited less than 20 minutes for fresh and incredibly hot food.
Not only is it an incredible restaurant it is also an extensive deli counter with meats and cheeses, the homemade cannolis are out of this world!!
It’s also a small Italian grocer, they have a massive variety of imported sauces and oils and you can buy their sauce and meatballs pre made to cook with at home

We had the ravioli in sauce with meatballs and Frans special spaghetti with meatballs, I still have some in my fridge and still I cannot wait to go back!

Maybe they were once really good, but now they suck. They are way overpriced for mediocre fare. I’ve been there once before back in 2014 and everything was so good and the service was awesome. Now the place is run by a bunch of snooty old ladies who can’t even greet a paying customer with any civility, they just bark orders at you on where to sit. You guy’s have come a long way down in my estimation, in terms of quality and service, not to mention the dark, cramped, and dirty little tables they make you sit at if your only a party of two. We won’t be going back. Save the money and go anywhere else.

We found this unusual, small, Italian Diner by accident. All we can say is, you need to visit if you ever go to Trinidad on Colorado. Walking in to this small place is like going back in time and meet your family. Mama Mia. This is one of the last original Old fashion Diners we know of. The people are wonderful and their food is still home made. We loved it, and if we ever visit Colorado again, we will most certain pop back in. Thank you for keeping this place up.

You order and pay at the register as you walk in. Assuming the service and food would be good I put a tip off about 22%on the tab. There are only a couple of tables in the entryway, we picked one which was very wobbly. Our order came in to go boxes, and we ate with cheap plastic utensils. The salad was iceberg lets and a couple of cherry tomatoes, tomato sauce for the spaghetti was sweet like it had sugar added, and the chicken breast which was with my Alfredo pasta was so overcooked my plastic knife did not have a chance. Oh and the bread served with our pasta dishes were literally hot dog buns. Worst dining choice I’ve made in possibly my whole life.

Such a great taste in everything we had! It’s well seasoned and makes you feel nice and warm after! It’s easy to pass by, but it’s not easy to forget about once you’ve had it! The customer service just makes the place that much more memorable! We came in with no expectations and left more than pleased thanks again ladies!! We had the montys sub, 2 kids portioned of Alfredo, and the chicken Alfredo! It all tastes so fresh and homemade!
