We went to Namaste Restaurant in Alvor for lunch and really enjoyed our meal. We tried the chicken biryani and the vegetarian lunch menu, both of which were tasty and well-prepared. For drinks, we had a refreshing mango lassi.
It was very quiet at lunchtime, which made for a relaxed experience. Service was quick and efficient, and the food was good. A nice spot for a calm and satisfying Indian lunch in Alvor.

Had a wonderful experience here and ended up coming two days in a row — that says it all! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully spiced, and very authentic. On top of that, the service was: warm, professional, and attentive. A fantastic Indian restaurant that I’ll happily return to again and again.

We came to Namaste twice during our stay in Alvor. The first time we were so blown away by the food and fantastic customer service provided by Vishu that we had to come back a second time. We had the lamb karahi, lamb rogan josh and also the lamb tikka jalfrezi and there were no flaws in the food here and very good value for money!! Wish we stayed in Alvor longer so that we could have experienced it another time. Brilliant!

We had a very nice dinner and enjoyed the food very much. We are familiar with Indian food and it was a very good experience as the food was very aromatically spiced. The Papadam was a bit different than we know it and perfect as an appetizer in combination with the four different sauces.
The service was super friendly, especially, as we came at evening high time and everything was very busy.
There are lots of vegetarian options and I would clearly recommend this place of you are looking for excellent food and service.

Only thing i could say that they need a bigger place but overall the food is very good very fresh some of the best lamb chops i av had ! The first time i went the lamb curry was a bit to tomato based the second time i went they catered for our liking and we enjoyed it a lot more were even thinking to go back the third time very good value for money!

My partner and I visited this hidden gem twice on our holiday and it’s a very welcoming and friendly little authentic restaurant. The food was fantastic, big portions and so tasty, in fact for us it was the best Indian meal we’ve ever tasted. The spices and ingredients are combined in absolute perfection, that will bring you absolute pure happiness to your taste buds!
Plenty of dishes to choose from chicken and lamb to as well a lot of vegetarian options.
Our server (Vishu) was amazing! We let him decide our entire meal for us and his selections were out of this world delicious!
I highly recommend a visit here, you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely return on our next holiday to a Portugal.

We went to Namaste Alvor, by mistake. It was a happy one. The food was delicious, authentic and plentiful. Fish curry, chicken tikka masala and butter chicken washed down with fizzy beer. What’s not to like? The service was attentive and fast, without being rushed. Definitely on our return list. 5 out of 5

Delicious food, small but cozy restaurant and friendly staff. Restaurant is on a busy pedestrian street in Alvor with lots of other restaurants and bars. The butter chicken and chicken tikka were our favs. Best to park by the marina and walk up.
