The food was excellent and the service very friendly and personable. I brought my kid and she enjoyed the food immensely, too. The menu items are meant to be shared, which makes for a very sociable experience. The only downside is that it is too far away from my house to go all the time.

My wife and I went for dinner on February 11th and discovered something very interesting: from the atmosphere, the service and the food. We realized that all of the above have delivered a most needed upgrade. This restaurant is under new management/ownership! The prior owners were alright but didn’t deliver 5 star quality, however, the new owners are more 6 stars! The food is bursting with flavor! The managers are very attentive! Job well done! Go check it out for yourselves. You won’t be disappointed. [If you don’t see something on the menu – talk to them, tell them what you’re looking for and they will be happy to whip up something for you.] A++++ Enjoy!

I’ve only eaten here once but it is definitely going to become a regular spot. The food was nothing short of fantastic. There are some other Indian places in the Hudson Valley which are very fancy and expensive. The food is also good. If you’re looking for an expensive upscale place with hipster drinks, you will find that at those places. At Namaste you will find good vibes, nice people, and legit top-notch food with heart and soul and flavor. In my not so humble opinion, Namaste is every bit as good, if not superior, to the higher priced alternatives. Thank you Namaste!

Always consistently delicious. We usually get the chicken tikka and palak paneer. The dine in atmosphere is improved from previous owner but could use more ambiance and softer lighting.

Vegan Review here, I know in Woodstock everyone goes to the garden cafe if you’re vegan. But I feel like over the years their menu has become the same over ane over, and no longer exciting feeling. Tried this place for the first time and it was a wonderful experience to get really high quality and good vegan food.

We ordered the lamb shish kabobs and the calamari for appetizers. I had the lamb tiki marsala. My husband had the lamb curry. My girlfriend had the chicken tiki marsala. It was all very good. The service was fantastic. We also had a dessert that was out of this world. It was called gulag jamun. We also had cheese naan.

We went on a ski trip and had dinner here one night. The food was excellent, homey, and reasonable price. The best part was their service!! We went near closing time of the restaurant but they still did not rush us and gave us an amazing dinner experience and even kept the store open 30 mins past the close time. We will go back here anytime! The owner is new and seems to really care about the customer experience.

During the Plague of 2020, hungry for take-out Indian food, my partner and I walked in and out of Namaste. Big mistake. Sitting down at this same restaurant off a nondescript stretch of 9W a week ago, I knew—with its no-nonsense server, and its walls painted deep papaya orange, that the meal was going to be great. Even now my mouth waters in memory of this taste experience.

Within minutes of placing our order, the dining area’s air was filled with smells from the kitchen. Something real was happening. The sensual complexity of Indian food, whose multitudinous scents I’ll awkwardly describe as bristling, sweet, unguenty, thorny, puckery, and the like, were upon us. And once the dishes came, unlike the smell, say of peanut butter being superior to its actual taste, the flavors of our dishes were dazzling. Rich and creamy, the Shahi Lamb Korma was tender and plentiful. The Aloo Gobhi Mas, a gustatory complement. I more than once asked my partner not to talk and closed my eyes while feeling the food. The Palak Paneer, decent. The Garlic naan, perfectly chewy and sprinkled with coriander, the latter being a real sign of a caring chef. It’s also worth mentioning that the server gave us options over how spicy we wanted our food prepared. We were so happy with our meal that we overate, the way sometimes at an amusement park I have—out of delight—ridden one topsy-turvy ride too many, and made myself, as a consequence, a bit sick.

Mind you, there is little that is showy about this joint. It’s not for the bougie folk who fancy themselves upper class but derive their sense of this from their phones. The bathroom could use refreshing and a carpenter’s touch. The large flat screen, which I requested be turned off, is a nuisance. But the overall experience of this establishment is non pareil. When I attempted to express my dining pleasure to a man who had emerged from the kitchen, my English was not understood. But I persisted and after passing my wish to another quite affable server to extend my compliments to the unseen chef, she was thanked with an on the house mango lassie. A bustling take-out business seems to be central to the restaurant’s success. Should we beset by another plague, I know exactly where to go.

Total outlay: 60 dollars

We ordered from Namaste on Thanksgiving and it was an excellent decision. Couldn’t have been easier. Food was delicious and ready on time for pick up. An excellent value and definitely worth considering for family meals/holidays when your guests are fed up with turkey.
