Great fast food—Indian style in Clarksville Commons. I ate mutton biryani, mango lassi, and a potato-and-onion dosa. (I’m going earmark the dosa as gluten free for a friend. I’ll ask her if this place will work for her.)
We ate the dosa onsite with sambar and peanut butter chutney, and the dosa was light and crisp and not a bit greasy. Although the ghee used must have been liberal because the dosa was delicious. (Lots of reviewers seem to like the dosa.) The tray was brought out by Satyam (Namasste proprietor) with pride. I used to live nearby Udupi Palace in Adelphi, and I have been missing really crispy dosa.
The mutton biriyani (takeout) had a generous amount of meat that was nicely spiced (cardamon, cinnamon stick, whole black peppercorns, nigella?). The rice was basmati (as expected) and tasty. I would like more raw onions shreds on the rice, and I’ll ask more next time. The biriyani comes with a small container of yoghurt (raita?) for your rice.
The mango lassi is thick and delicious with cardamom. It’s absolutely worth it (calorie-wise). It must be made with all yogurt because it’s not runny.
It’s real food served pretty quickly with friendly advice from the staff. Seems like a great value overall.

I recently moved to Maryland and I thought of ordering some Indian food and opened DoorDash and this restaurant popped up,by seeing the better reviews I ordered chicken tikka bowl and probably that’s the worst mistake I’ve ever made. The chicken tikka curry was so salty, Rice is uncooked and I can see the broth inside the cup. Not ordering anymore from this place.

Namaste Foodie is awesome! I got their special mashed up menu , the Butter Popcorn Chicken with Naan, that they collaborated with their neighbor vendor, Crisp n Chill and it is AMAZING! Highly recommended!

I love coming to common kitchen and eating at namaste foodie. The Indian street food is delicious and the owners are always so friendly. I typically like to get the Bombay sandwich but everything I have tried has been great. The food always tastes fresh and the presentation is beautiful.

Came in and this place is located in a small food court. It’s a really cool experience and I tried several locations when Namaste Foodie caught my eye. The owner was very friendly and offered me free samples. I went with the lamb wrap and she gave me a free sample of the curry as well. The meat was tender and the spice was perfect. I really recommend coming here for a nice spring lunch, or anything really! They have a house made ketchup as well… kinda wish they would bottle and sell it, cause it was really good too!

They have a wide variety of options on the menu!! The food is super delicious and the flavours remind you of home back in India!! My personal favourite was the paneer kathi roll, crispy dosa and chaats!

Ordered from this restaurant via grubhub. $22 rice is a very small portion with a bland taste. NOT acceptable at all.
If you think grubhub fee is too high, you don’t have to participate. Customers paying $22 only got half full are very unhappy.

The curry was very subtle. Did not overpower with spice or smell. The price to serving ratio is great. This chicken was very tender and not dry. This melts in your mouth.

Great restaurant! Very friendly staff and you can taste how authentic the food is. We tried the pani puri and the samosa chaat – both were fantastic! We can’t wait to come back to try out the rest of the menu
